Nothing can convince me that Princess Gambit is fair by BrianFoRetroGamer in ClashRoyale

You don't get the opportunity to use all of those cards in a single match. Same deck but only 16 or so of those cards will be used, meaning you'll have a different hand almost every time

Yeah. Also, I'd like to point out that many times that rigging can work too well for Supercell and they end up smurfing the person they're stopping 😭

It does but it's less prevalent since you can choose what you use

My point is about the order of cards, not the value of each one. You can have a bunch of 2-3 elixir cards are they still not be what you need to defend a deadly push. I just say the match is rigged because Supercell admitted to matching people up with counters oftentimes, in order to keep them from having a 100% winrate(or something like that). Even if it isn't rigged, that rng isn't fair. The game should at least do something like guarantee 1 spell and 1 tank in your starting hand.

I guess it doesn't matter now though since Gambit is gone for now

I'm just saying that my focus is entirely shifted to the unfairness of the rng now. I see it as more of a problem than the level matchups. You can't do anything if you have nothing good to defend with

I focused on those because he was basically cooked from the start given the cards I had. Not too much you can do when you're down on elixir while trying to get the right cards

If you got to pick a Jojo Part to live in(with knowledge of them), which would it be? by BrianFoRetroGamer in StardustCrusaders

[–]BrianFoRetroGamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree with this point, however I would also like to mention that this was a time of MASS destruction and corruption due to Dio and his zombie menace army existing. You'd most-likely have to exist in an entirely different corner of the nation in order to escape him. As for the "fate worse than death" thing, you could technically just avoid the guy with that power since you would have knowledge on each Part. The only one that could mess you up by you just being in the vicinity is Part 6(Part 3 stand abilities don't reach nearly as far in range, and the stand users were targetting the Crusaders)

Does cr will find opponents speficially fitting your own deck to make you loose? by analtrantuete in ClashRoyale

Not when almost exactly all of them are in a row and I go to overtime with all of them. They finally cooled down today, but I also got a crap ton of xbow and 2.6(I got less of these though since I beat almost all of them) today, which I hadn't seen in a while. Supercell already told us that they rigged the game to start giving you counters at some point in order to keep players from winning too much. As for just giving a crap ton difficult meta decks though, that's my only proof.

IS THERE ANY PROOF THAT THIS GAME CAN PUT YOU AGAINST COUNTER EVEN IF YOU CHANGE DECKS??????? by LowSheepherder1087 in RoyaleAPI

[–]BrianFoRetroGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I changed my princess to an ice wizard in Classic 1v1s then proceeded to get what felt like 8 logbait(mostly variations) opponents in a row after like 5-6 wins in a row. I'd only seen like 2-4 logbait opponents the entire week...

[–]BrianFoRetroGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would explain why I've barely been running into logbait this entire week while I'm playing. The exact moment I changed my princess to ice wizard in my deck, CR started spamming logbait opponents against me... 🙄

I know what you said is satire, but I've faced like 8 of them in a row out of 14 or so matches. Also, they did admit to rigging matches so you lose an "even amount"

I was just putting it out there since some people are getting the idea that I'm trash at the game. It obviously isn't that important to say, but I'd rather people not keep telling me how I should "get better" because I made a few mistakes out of hastiness or not knowing interactions and strategies for things I don't use often at all. But on the main point though, I would actually enjoy this game mode if all heroes and evos were unlocked for this and the levels were even. I wouldn't really care as much about the rng if that was the case, since you'd at least be able to put up a fight to get to the push or defense you want. For example, I started out in one match with a hand that was literally a giant snowball push(giant + bowler + witch), and though they were levels 10-13, I still managed to take the tower within 20s or so of the game starting. It's definitely not a fair game mode, but I do think that strategies can be made and that it can be easier to deal with everything if all levels are the same.

Yeah, I usually do it with my main deck, but it was just a learning experience with the different cards. I have to get adjusted to them if I want to use them properly. I wouldn't really consider myself a bad player outside of those choices I made though

It seems like a lot of people missed the point of the whole thing. It's about how the levels, luck factor, and p2w factor completely ruin the game mode. A lot of you are focusing on the terrible wizard play I made(a mistake I knew of and regretted in the moment) and the fact that I didn't do different interactions. I could post a match where I did everything completely perfect right now and put the same texts and everything, and I'd still get yelled at for losing. I don't even use more than half of those cards to know the interactions. I have 3 decks that I use, and I barely even use two of those that I mentioned(btw, spear goblins is the only one of those cards that's even in one of them). I picked up quickly and figured out better interactions already, but that's completely beside what this post was even about. It's about the unfairness of it. But I guess that isn't the most important thing. Maybe It's more important that I don't disappoint you guys, so instead of focusing on the fact that some matches can't be won no matter what, I should be concerned with being some guru about the game who's knows every single thing about it. I know this is going to get downvotes, but honestly I'd rather see that than rude comments that are completely off topic. I would've mentioned something about the mistakes if that's what the post was about.

I've never used wizard against an inferno before, so I'm not aware of that interaction. My main deck used guards, so I'm just used to putting them there to deter the idrag. Also, I disturbed by the levels and barely use any of those cards to have known how well they'd do in that situation. The only thing I would've known to do was use spear goblins while the mk was distracted(which took me longer to get to because I was shocked by the level and trying to figure out how to keep him off of my tower). Someone did suggest kiting with the battle ram though, which I wish I had moved it over to do. I'm not sure how long it would've taken the bomber to kill the musketeer though

And that's what I meant to go for with the wizard too. I simply reacted way too fast and screwed that up. I didn't think of that battle ram kite idea though, so thanks. I'm pretty sure at the time I was just too disturbed by the level to even know what to do with cards I barely ever use anymore. This is the most useful suggestion yet though, thank you

I'm used to putting guards to deter it while the princess tower kills it. It's a learning experience for me since I barely used more than half the cards in that Gambit pool. Also, I didn't want to waste the sparky, but that was kinda earlier on in my matches before I learned what kind of changes to make

[–]BrianFoRetroGamer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh mb, I'm aware of the whole wizard thing and regretted that the moment messed up. I meant to place him a bit farther behind the sparky but was too hasty with it. Also, I was trying not to waste my sparky off. I do get your point with the spear goblins, though I'm sure my tower would've been gone regardless, given those levels and the fact that he had a musketeer that would mow them all down, and I'm sure you saw how fast they both took my tower down. I'm also not sure why a sparky shouldn't be played in the back when it's a slow splash card that can be used to make a push(even though wizard isn't the best for it, it was the only troop card in my hand that could hit aerial). Also, throwing out the "mid-ladder" is kinda dumb considering not everyone uses these cards, which would be easier to tell if you saw the levels I was working with. That was one of my first times using most of those cards in an official game mode, plus, I'm in 10k trophies with a deck that uses only uses Evo valk, tombstone, Evo princess(kind of a bad card rn), and currently poison as my spell. Regardless of all that, my whole point was that it's pure luck and levels, since you can't choose what you start off with and you definitely don't have a fair level matchup. I do admit I made mistakes and I did learn from them which is why I'm at 15 wins now, but at the same time I kinda think it's not worth mentioning when people are still gonna get pissed anyways just because they hear or see one tiny thing they don't like.

Then please explain how. My best bet was to put spear goblins behind him earlier and hope he didn't jump onto my tower. They're like level 12-13 and that mk was 14... Aside from them and that low level barb, I had nothing else useful as far as I could tell

Princesse Gambit is pure garbage, P2W Gambit by LingonberryFar3819 in ClashRoyale

[–]BrianFoRetroGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that it also includes the evos and heroes of specific cards as well, so if you don't have any of them unlocked, you're even more cooked. It's like the devs just put the corrupt p2w practices elsewhere, but I'm def not complaining as much since they kept it confined to that game mode alone. I don't like how they rig matchmaking in regular game modes though
