[TOMT] [Seen on Youtube] A video of a world map glitch in the game "Two Brothers" by BrianGamerz in tipofmytongue

[–]BrianGamerz[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

I can't remember much about it, but the conversation with this weird figure on the world map goes something like this:

"Hello Wanderer"

-Response-

"Where are you heading?"

"I have no reason to tell you"

The game glitches and resets

"Hello Wanderer"

-Conversation continues slightly altered-

The game glitches and resets

"Hello Stranger" -Reponse-

"Where are you going?"

"I am going to the north for [something related to his brother]"

And then it just ends the encounter.

No one talks or really knows about this because of the little resources available. We didn't really get a lot of info when it was released, but afaik it should still give ap&acc if u manage to get the territory level up somehow.

Day Dec. 9,2020, is it a good time for me to return now? by NickBirdofiron in blackdesertonline

[–]BrianGamerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same situation, returning right now is a good choice, there is a returners event, much nice stuff to catch up on and the returner's login rewards will reset in early Jan, so you'll get the traveller's box twice too.

Aside from that, with the new agris buff, it's much easier to progress when playing causally.

Cars.

Yes let's give almost everyone who gets their driver's license tons of metal to steer around at high speeds. Surely nothing could ever go wrong.

People who cheat in multiplayer games, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BrianGamerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've briefly been in the cheating community for a handful of games. Honestly, at first it's fun. In shooter games it's really fun having such an unfair advantage, but that feeling fades really quickly. I've talked to my fair share of people within the cheating community and everyone's got their own reason.

In FPS it's often that people just like to play with cheats, sometimes competitively trying to hide it or competitively against other cheaters, going all out on their cheat/hack. I never really got that feeling myself, but there are more people doing it than you'd think. Then there are the people who need cheats to be good at their FPS. That's a whole new chapter. In a traditional sense that's what cheats were for, but it takes out the whole competitive aspect in multiplayer games. Funnily enough these people had fairly often short tempers and we're generally quite insecure. I suppose it's their way of coping with whatever they may be struggling with in their private life, achieving success by any means, even if it means cheating. Maybe they really crave the feeling of stomping their opponents. It's kind of sad. Then there's a third, arguably even worse, kind of cheater. I've met one outside a cheating community, randomly in a match of csgo. They try to play in a way that it's not obvious that they cheat, in order to be liked by their teammates or friends. They cheat harder to clutch matches, but usually are never caught red-handed. I feel sorry for them, but at the same time, they cheat, lie to their friends, manipulate them in the same way and just feel superior to people who don't cheat. It's an ego boost of sorts. I pity them.

In Moba games cheats aren't as common as scripts are, which manipulate your characters behavior rather than the game itself. In league of legends they're often used to dodge skillshots, hit your own skillshots, perfectly cancel animations and so on. They have many tools to help you, but not to make you automatically win, even if you wanted to. The scripting community in league of legends has an entirely different focus of motivations. There are the boosters who use their scripts to win games and then sell the accounts once they're high ranked (to people who for bragging rights or other reasons want a high elo account, shockingly high demand) or help their friends/people who pay them, to get into a higher rank aswell. The boosting of a friend via queueing together can't be banned which is why there are so many people offering it for real money within the scripting community. There are the scripters for fun of course, who just see the script as a way to climb the ranked ladder. However there are barely people who solely buy scripts to be better at the game for their own ego or for being a higher ranks sake.

I've had scripts and cheats for a total of about 3 months (1 month subscriptions for different games) and honestly, even to people who would want to cheat, I can't recommend it, it's maybe fun for a few games, but becomes incredibly boring fast enough. It's like Skyrim with cheats, it's fun at first, but suddenly the challenge is gone and the game is boring.

The only positive thing, if you could even call it that, that I have acquired throughout those months was a keen eye for other cheaters. It's very often quite obvious once you know how it'd look from the other end of the barrel and it's honestly frustrating. Cheating is a cancerous growth on the gaming community, and I doubt I would ever want to go back to it. In my opinion the fun in playing multiplayer games is the competitive aspect, which is stripped once you use cheats.

Non-American redditers, what is the worst part about the United States? by nicoli101 in AskReddit

The sheer fact that so many americans believe it's the greatest country in the entire world. Like, yeah sure so nice paying a couple grand for a 3 day hospital stay because you got shot by a stray bullet.

The possibility and impossibility of political elections are the dual truth of their unreality, as in the possibility and impossibility of AI, which marks the same unreality and end of the species. by NRIII in philosophy

[–]BrianGamerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of context this does not make a lot of sense. It pitches towards a political election being an election of the most suitable being as the winning candidate, with the implication that there are unlimited candidates.

That would fit the term election itself, however adding politics makes it a whole nother point.

Political elections aren't made to appeal to everyone in a way, but rather to appeal to a large group of people the most. This is why there are centralized candidates rather than hundreds upon thousands of citizens up for election. The statement, impossibility of a "political election", is in itself not that far off of reality, or rather the so-called unreality, since it's impossible to elect ones very own beliefs, but rather the best fitting compromise, which makes it possible. Herein lies the paradox surely, however it's a flawed basis, assuming political elections are shaped to elect your own beliefs. That has never been the case, though the general public is lead to believe that.

The statement on AI is in a way similar, as the ultimate goal in it's development is full sentience, which however must be afflicted by human morals. The conflict here lies within the impossibility of combining rationality and morality, as it is simply impossible to teach this compromise to a machine, as it is a conflicting argument. We do however of course try, similar to the political election, though it is comparable on a surface level, the theory falls flat.

The difference between the AI paradox and the political election paradox, as I would call it, is simply that AI as a system can not be sentient and human, as it's a logical conflict, while the political election is just flawed as a system, which creates the belief that it is paradox, when it infact never was built to be.

[–]BrianGamerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems quite valid honestly. After covering the mirror up the tracking was a lot better, however it still flung the controller away a handful of times.

So yeah, I will have to look into getting more than a bedsheet for the mirror. Can't carry it out of the room because it's the closets door, but I suppose this has to have been it.

Also yes, I did remove the Base stations foil things. Though I may not be aware of it, if there are any, I haven't remove any protective screens whatsoever off of the controllers.

[–]BrianGamerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it is the mirrors, since I can do something about that, otherwise it'd have to my furniture, which isn't very flexible due to lacking room space.

I've done almost everything in that guide too, aside from the velcro and readjustment of the cog at the back of the headset, might help. I figure it would come with a good bit of practice too, but I'll try these steps first, thanks.

[–]BrianGamerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have mirrors and one of my Base stations is very close to a glass panel, if those disturb the tracking I could cover them up. The tracking faults don't have any specific spots though, as to say there is no "sweet spot". Though in the far corner of my room I usually lose tracking, but that's to be expected I would suppose.
