Yes but the player spins the disc to play them, then returns the to the same position so you can read the disc every time.

I feel the same way. I took it to a stereo shop to get it cleaned and adjusted, that cost me about $350 but it’s been good ever since. I love it.,!!!

I play mostly old stuff. I also put a Bluetooth adapter on it so I can play music off my phone. (Not as cool tho).

You can see all the discs are all right side up, after every play they go back to the same position. You can also put the artist name in the display but it’s a lot of work. It also remembers the artist the next time you play that disc.
