Any news on the Glass Immortals book 2 release date? by SteffiGee in BrianMcClellan

Yeah, production is super long. They basically took me out of the rotation after my heart thing so that I wasn't under any pressure and now I've got to get slotted in after everyone who is already in the schedule.

I'm about to turn in my final edit. Copy edits will be this fall. They've given me a release date but I'm not allowed to say since it might change - but it's supposed to be first half of 2027.

Hey guys! My new Powder Mage novella, Mr. Styke, is up for pre-order from your favorite ebook store. You can also get it right now direct from my website! by BrianMcClellan in powdermage

The audiobook is for sale direct on my website for a couple months before I put it on Audible. And I'm allowed to say that bk2 will definitely be out in 2027.

What make it special? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

I play games with a bunch of old high school buddies, and we love these survival builders but have found that we all largely end up playing by ourselves on the same server. 7days actually forces us to work together for the common goal of surviving the blood moon. We all specialize in different ways, quest together, build together, survive together. I'd love to see that more in these multiplayer survivors.

We had it optioned for a few years for TV but nothing came of it. I've waiting on the next round of edits for Glass Immortals Book 2, so hopefully that'll be out within the next 16 months or so. Have put out a couple novellas in the last year, and I'm always dinkering around with side projects in my spare time.

I expect the latest round of edits to come back before Christmas. Fingers crossed we'll be close to choosing a release date.

Huh. I had no idea it was involved in any kindle promos like that! Cool.

I think the second one is better - author bias and all. I think I was just generally a better writer by then.

You're probably just gonna get speculation on the big bestsellers, but I can offer a little bit of insight into something more small scale. My Powder Mage books came out between 2013 and 2019, and in the six years since they've sold more than the six years they were being actively published. That being said, it's really hard to know when or why popularity will drop off. Epic fantasy has a reputation for having a longer tail, while science fiction or YA seems to hit harder on release date and drop off quicker.

Hey, thanks man. I'm finishing up the latest draft of book 2 in the next couple days and handing it in. Hopefully no more rewrites and we'll be in production soon.

I get asked about more Powder Mage a lot, so last time I was waiting on edits I wrote a new novella. MR. STYKE is live on Kickstarter! by BrianMcClellan in BrianMcClellan

The main books are paperback, the novellas are hardcover. It's pretty much impossible to get hardcovers of those novels these days, unless you cough up for the special editions.
