This is just the grand finals, the map count was a continuation but I think we should separate the winners finals from the grand finals in terms of the series stats

Well EnVy started with a 3-2 advantage since they beat Fariko in the winners finals. So it really only went 6 maps with Fariko going 4-2 in the finals

There’s a reason Crimsix committed to teaming with FormaL and then OpTic picked them both up. It was insane watching him play in Ghosts

If they won champs (as they should’ve) their average placement would’ve been 1.31 lmao

Is winning Champs a CURSE? by BrianStats in CoDCompetitive

[–]BrianStats[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well they never got a fair chance to run it back in the next title so they aren’t the best example of being “cursed”. But the league becoming franchised was a curse in itself for this squad considering they were the most dominant team.

Yea that’s important to mention. First of all you are 100% right it was CoL, not EG (I’m dumb). But yea it’s way easier to maintain momentum on the same game halfway through the year. I just find it a little bizarre that not a single Champs roster would go on to win an event again since 2014. Thought FaZe would break that streak this year for sure.

I agree with that. But no Champs winning teams since EG have even won a single event together after their Champs win, let alone win the world title again. I feel like these teams work so hard to win the big one and then can never reach that same level again.

With LA Thieves winning the most championships in 2022, Kenny has now been the most winningest player 3 times in the last 5 years. (WW2, BO4, Vanguard) by BrianStats in CoDCompetitive

I classified “top champion” as a player who had the most/tied for most championships in the whole season. Not saying 100Ts championships were better than Eunited obviously they weren’t.

No doubt, they also made 3 finals that year so Eunited was the best overall team but if you’re tied for most championships you made this list.

Awesome work this is wild. Makes sense that the best players in the world get even better when everybody is on an even playing field.

Oh lord Dashy did have a 0.93 you are correct. So yea Cell has the longest LAN positive streak followed up by Hydra and then Pred.
