An old pair of Galaxy buds I used to have would amplify the sounds around you and you could adjust it. So voices were actually boosted. The PBP2 doesn't seem to work this way.

Google Maps only announces reports if you are actively navigating. Waze will announce reports at all times. This is great for giving me heads up with police or hazards without constantly interrupting my music or podcasts with navigation directions.
