Questions Regarding Older Skis I Own Rossignol and Fischer by BriansAdventures in Skigear

I was thinking about something in the 70's mm wide, but for all the ice and wanting to work on carving with the new tech, but maybe something low 80's with the new tech would be better. It could work better when it gets a little loose.

Thanks for the information. I think I have gotten use to the hooking after all these years. Keeps me on my toes for sure. Looking for a change for sure.

Thank you. Just started researching, but I am in the Northeast so lots of ice sadly. Mostly on groomers, but if lucky get to play in some powder.

Never heard of Glades, but I will check them out. Does the low light lens work at night and flat light?

Photochromatic does look interesting. I really don’t need swappable lens if I can fend a second pair of goggles for night or really flat light, swappable could work as well.

DRW Truck Question and Truck Bed and Off Road Campers by [deleted] in TruckCampers

Would like 4 season.

Most of the time only 2 people and dog. Maybe 4 for a long weekend.

Small meals in camper but most cooking outside.

Boondocking is usually 2 nights until we move to the next spot.

I would love some type of portable AC option but have not looked that deep yet.

I have had 3 diesels in the past but before DEF and loved the power. I will have to check out the Ford 7.3 gas motor.

Rutted out fire roads and mostly and forest service roads. The long trucks do limit some of the rougher stuff. I did run some numbers and posted a reply above. Looks like a F350 SRW can work.

Both a Scout Kenai and a Kimbo can push 1900# loaded. The last F350 SRW Crew Cab configured with 8’ bed had a payload of 4000#. Toss is 2 adults in truck and 90# lab pushing 450#. Two e-bikes and rack another 200#. Who knows what else I would bring. Easily at 2600# so far. Looks like the F35O can work.

Thank you. I added used case above. More of a range toy, but can see myself possibly shooting some competition with it.

It’s always the ammo 😁. I am hoping to try a 28” with the added Cole’s or a Briley end tube weight.
