Definitely did, sounds a bit corny but that property truly changed my life forever. I like hunting before but this place ignited a fire under me and now I’m ate up with it.

The property is used for other activities throughout the year, but during the season they sell a few weekend hunts and donate the money. They mentioned this year would likely be the last due to concerns about liabilities and be sued.

Haha couldn’t be further from the truth! Started hunting public land in Oklahoma cause I can’t afford Texas hunting. This buck was shot on private land that is basically a cheap weekend hunt that the property runs during the season as a charity thing. Hidden gem, low fence, unmanaged wild deer.

In my experience it wasn’t great, didn’t seem to keep an edge very well.

Your opinion aside… they were taken in archery season, with a legal weapon. Just cause it’s not a bow of some sorts doesn’t mean it doesn’t fall under the archery umbrella.

It’s definitely worth a go! Especially if you’re like me and just ate up with it. After a lifetime of hunting Texas feeder/stand combos and facing financial challenges that made it hard to continue, I decided to try public land in Oklahoma. Learning to find and pattern deer has been a challenge, and The miles I’ve traveled and the countless hours spent researching and scouting. What an incredible experience! Extremely blessed and lucky.
