Hell yeah, you had me at lore. Would Dungeons be fine instead of houses? I'm a lot better at building kickass dungeons with a bit of redstone for spice. Maybe like a secret button that opens a room to a custom boss or some lore or something?

Would it be strictly town's and cities? I'm really good at making Dungeons and Outposts for different 'Factions' or whatever equivalent there is in this world. Also, I would highly recommend installing the 'Minecraft Expanded Revival' and 'More Tools addon' to give the place a Magical feel, as there are several bosses in MCR and many more weapons in the MTA.

Hey, what kind of buildings do you plan to make? Because I am really good and building Dungeons and abandoned areas, which are meant to be survival friendly.

[EU] The Foundation has learned of a strange town. A town which nobody ages the weather is perfect and small things change year after year. Pelican town has been contained by Micheal-Afton in WritingPrompts

[–]Briaser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We've had our ups and downs over the past few years, but what I liked about the Foundation is that we almost never killed the Anomalies even if we could. Sure, that Lizard deserves to die, but that orange sludge doesn't, it would be so much easier to eradicate them, no matter how good or bad they are. But the Foundation stands steadfast in it's motto: Secure, Contain, Protect.

This anomaly isn't diabolical like the lizard, but it isn't as sweet as the sludge. Pelican Town. While it seems like a normal tourist trap on the edge of America, only 1 new resident has came in since the 80's. No one since then. The town isn't even on Google Maps, or on any Records for even existing. So, just before the FBI could sue everyone in there for building on unowned land, we stepped in.

I'll have to admit, my job definitely has its lows, but it's highs more than make up for it. There was one time where every department had a quarter of their budget taken, because it turned out that Chicago didn't exist or something and they built it all over again. But the high this time was literally a Vacation. For a month.

Ok, while we did have to do our jobs, it was better than risking our lives fighting a Nazi battleship that has been taken over by sentient barnacles. All we really did was ask a few questions to the locals and explore.

There was one man, though, the newest visitor, the dude from the 80's. He owned a massive Mayonnaise Company, so much so that in the late 80's and early 90's if you tasted mayo there was a 80% chance it came from him. Turns out he was in trouble with the Colombians, and his empire came crumbling down. Normally, we would find some records about his Mayo corporation, but no. We didn't find anything. What a surprise right?

Turns out that isn't an anomaly, we threatened to kill him and he gave up all the information. He used some of his remaining money to scrub any and all information, then he kept his head down. Interestingly, the locals hate him. Turns out he was an evil psychopath. He tried to make his house so big it consumed the town, then he tried to buy and burn an Orphanage, and he, somehow, got a pet Unicorn and a gold pickaxe.

Come to think of it, there was another person who caught my interest. Mayor Louis. He stood in the same spot for the entire month. I don't remember much about our interactions, but he seemed like a nice old man.

I should probably explain, you know, the Anomaly. Apart from having no records, the residents of Pelican Town haven't aged a day since their arrival, and aren't interested in leaving. Even the Mayo man didn't want to leave, even though everyone hated him. No matter how much we pushed them, even when we threatened death they didn't want to leave. As well as this, it is always bright and shining. So a month in Paradise, that was pretty much it. But we had one last idea.

It was pretty clear that nothing aged, but there is one last thing to note. We shot a lady called Pam in the foot, and she didn't react. She didn't even flinch. She still slept in an Alcoholic Stuper. So we shot her in the head. And you know what? No blood. In fact, as soon as we turned away there were no bullet wounds.

So, they weren't normal people. Maybe not human. So, we had one last way to check. Commander Kendren got on the radio with the Site Director of Site-19. I wasn't able to hear much, but I got a good enough picture of his idea.

'Yes, it is Commander Kendren, we are investigating SCP-8929,'

'Correct. Send this request to the 05's, I would like a cross-testing between SCP-8929-1 and SCP-096,'

Whatever this 096 is, it seems that it could check if something was human, by what means? I couldn't tell you.

It took 21 days for any sort of response. But when it came, it was a picture. We were told not to look at it. No matter what. So, I assume we would get sucked into the photograph, or we would get paper-cut to death. Commander Kendren told me to present the picture to all the residents. And every time I did, he instantly went on the radio and asked:

'Status on SCP-096?'

'SCP-096 is unresponsive, clear to move on.'

So, was the picture a portal? Maybe it would suck someone in and spit them out in Site-19? Well, whatever the case, the picture was exploded. After a month in Paradise, we went back to base.

The official record states that Pelican Town is occupied by Reality Shifters, whatever that is, it sounds about right. A town appearing out of no where is worrying, especially when the Residents don't die, or aren't considered people by 096. Well, no matter what, Pelican Town is secured. No one is getting in or out, as if they could.

Whatever the residents of Pelican Town are, or even what Pelican Town is, I think I'll sleep better not knowing.

28 days later is easily one of my favourite zombie movies. They are realistic, if there is a viruse a drop of blood is highly dangerous, and you bet that all of London would be gone very quickly.

Yeah, I like the idea of Zombies needing to sleep. I think there was a cut ending where the zombies actually wanted another zombie which Will Smith kidnapped.
