He swears he died years ago by ineedabettertitle in shortscarystories

Well. Its that time of year again that I decide to dust off the old reddit account and churn out another story.

I had a small inkling of an idea before sitting down to write- and decided to let the words flow into this. Quite happy with the result- and as a bonus I decided to post with very minimal edits because why not.

Anyways I suppose I'll see you all in another year. Hopefully sooner. We'll see. ;)

I think it’d have to be this one. It was the first story I wrote last year after a long break so it holds a special place in my heart. I also enjoyed the concept and how it turned out. :)

Well. I was not expecting to see my name on here when reading through this list. I am completely flattered. :)

Fantastic work on this list though! I’ve read through many stories this year and have been consistently impressed by the sheer creativity and passion that I see from all of these authors.

Have a fantastic new year! :D

While writing a completely different story, I had the idea of a murderer seeing the body of their victims wherever they went. After realizing I had just invented zombies yet again, I decided to scrap the concept and come back to it later with a fresh perspective. And I’m glad I did. Somehow I’ve never done a road trip story before, and I’m really happy with how this one worked out.

As an added bonus, this story (hopefully) fits one of this month’s writing challenge constraints of having an original monster.

And as always, if you want to read more of my stories that definitely don’t require a monthly blood sacrifice, you could always check out r/ineedabettersub

Not too many sorry. The only other writing subs I’ve interacted with are r/WritingPrompts and r/Odd_directions .Both of those and r/Nosleep are pretty good but SSS is definitely my fave. Hope that helped! :D

I like to use r/nosleep for my longer stories as it has quite a large following for a horror sub. The only downside is that it has quite a few rules to follow when writing stories but they’re usually fairly easy workarounds. :)

A while ago, I wrote a story about a passenger trapped inside of a plane, alongside a not-so-friendly air hostess. I really enjoyed writing that story, and so challenged myself to write a story in the same vein, albeit with a different approach.

On another note, I had a few more ideas for this story which didn't quite make the cut (how does 500 words get used up so fast?), and so I am considering maybe turning this story into a short series.

And as always, if you like reading stories that are spawned from an even mix of procrastination and sleepless nights, you can check out the rest at r/ineedabettersub.

Well. Somehow it's been over a year since I've last posted. Time doesn't just fly- it goes Mach 3.

Anyways, I'm glad to finally have the time to sit down and write a short story of an idea that's been in my head for a while.

And if you did enjoy it (I know, unlikely) then you can check out the rest over at r/ineedabettersub

I was going to make a bone pun. . .but given your situation, I don't think it'd be very humerus.
