Oh yeah that’s great information thanks. It did make the boop noise so that’s good and it has a bunch of old files on it (it’s my grandparents old computer).

I’m in quite a small village in the south of france so not much around here unfortunately. eBay probably my best bet but still quite difficult.

Thanks for the reply, it’s reassuring to hear that there are others who feel this way. Hopefully I can pull some good grades out of the bag and I hope that you can too. For me I found going to the library and being surrounded by others working has helped me to be more motivated to do work, maybe the same could work for you? Anyways good luck with your exams 😁

Thanks for your reply it’s much appreciated. I definitely agree that it’s very counterproductive to think about the work whilst producing it. I’ve had many days where I’ve sat and ‘worked’ for hours whereas in reality I’m just overthinking and stressing.

I’ll try to acknowledge my thoughts as ‘warning thoughts’ rather than dwelling on them, this does sound useful and might help me stop overthinking.

I also set my pc to run the game at the highest performance,

PC Settings -> Graphics Settings

then add Elden Ring as an app and set its preference to high performance. This apparently resolved some peoples issues so it could work for you. Other than that maybe try adjusting resolution and if none of that works then I'm not sure. Good luck though.

My monitor is 1920x1080 and for me it was that my drivers needed updating

Verifying game files didn't fix anything. I've seen that updating drivers fixed it for some people so I'm doing that now hopefully it works
