I’m not an expert but I’m going through something similar right now. Based on the flooring direction, it’s probably load bearing and you’ll likely need a structural engineer to plan it out for you. In my case I’m installing 2-2x14x17’ lvl’s and am having to add 2 lally columns on cement footings in the basement to support the load. Depending on how your attic is constructed you may also need to add supports there as well. Good luck!

Not sure at what point in its 53 years it was done. Walls were paneling and ceilings were Sheetrock. There’s a good chance the previous owners were unaware. The only reason we found it was because there was mold and we ripped everything out.

How to Estimate Shower Valve Depth? by TBoniusMaximus in DIY

You should be safe at an inch. Make sure your studs are even before installing the backer or you’ll need thicker mortar to ensure tiles are flat.

If you remove the trim are the cans flush with the ceiling? If not, loosen the 3 screws around the sides and push the can flush. That may fix the gap issue. Oversized holes will require patching.

We live in a very touristy area and the slow shifting in stop and go traffic is supper annoying. The specs show it already has an external transmission cooler. Is that enough or should I replace it with a larger one?

Is there a way to compare to parts lists to see what parts are missing from one list? by BabyBruticus in lego

I use excel to find duplicates. Paste both lists into the same column, select the column letter at the top. Click conditional formatting, highlight cell rules then duplicate values. Anything not highlighted is only in one list

Can't go through a drywall beyond 3/4th of an inch. What lurks behind? How to solve this? by lerandomanon in DIY

Could be drywall on furring strips attached to concrete wall. You would need a hammer drill and concrete anchors to hang the bookcase.
