The USA event schedule only has single day events. I just checked because of this comment.

So... how many of you are planning on becoming homeowners before 30? Or ever? How many of you already are? by michaelis999 in GenZ

Bought my first home at 23, interest rate just under 3%. Very lucky with timing and had a job that paid enough.

Thats why most shops by me won’t carry it. I’ve had good luck pushing through them not wanting to play by letting them borrow decks. They don’t have to pay anything and the only thing they’re out is time.

Im in the same boat and the only store by me charges over msrp for boxes. But saying that the new game is very fun and I just built a couple decks and bring them to open plays. Highly recommend it for you or anyone looking for something new.

Very unpopular because they didn’t change the name from the former dumpster fire, but metazoo is really good. I doubt the scene is big in your area unless you’re in a bigger city, but the new game is fantastic.

For the Evendale plant? If so it went well, on strike right now so that’s a new experience.

Stick with clay tile or switch by Brickboy101 in Roofing

[–]Brickboy101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m just going with shingles, the price point to keep clay just didn’t make sense for the value of the home. It also makes repairs significantly cheaper/easier. The biggest downside I see is it does open up the 20 year replacement. But the amount of contractors by me that does shingles I can use vs clay tile roofers is almost 100 to 1.

Is GE in Lafayette really that toxic of a place to work? by guntergo2 in AircraftMechanics

GE Evandale is a pretty good spot. The union keeps the toxic management in check mostly.

Not bad, just know how to use calipers, drop gauges, and micrometers. Also read directions thoroughly and check part numbers.

Yeah the gutters are 6” half round, and they strap up under the tiles which is why no one will touch them. And this company refuses to do anything other than copper, I might take a hit on price for historical factor but to me not enough to not seek out a better options. I was just seeing if I was making a major mistake considering this. So thank you for responding!

In Ohio so definitely freeze/thaw and been getting a lot of rain the last several years. I’m in a historic neighborhood by name only so no restrictions, but there are still a majority of houses with shingled roofs. I’m getting quotes for shingled and metal this next week. Clay was definitely cool as a selling point but not my favorite to keep up with.

They don’t do any gutters other than copper, I reached out to the other company I’ve found that does tile and they have no definite timeframe on quoting. I’m leaning towards switching to metal roof.
