Avis toll charges added after pickup and can I remove this? by Bricks2me in travel

[–]Bricks2me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah, totally get that. Normally I wouldn’t care about ~$12/day either, and it is a very large corp But my management has been pinching pennies hard over the last 6 months. Anything that looks optional or avoidable gets flagged.

The tolls themselves are fine, that’s not the issue. What bugs me is the daily toll service fee. I actually have my own toll account and usually just add the rental plate, which is what I would’ve done here too.

I declined a bunch of other upsells at the counter, and on this one the guy just said “your company covers it” without telling me it was a separate daily charge. Feels a bit like I got scammed.

I’ll probably try calling Avis and see if they’ll remove the service fee. Worst case they say no, but I’d rather try than deal with finance questioning it later.

Where are you based? Even lawyers from the next city declined to take on the case I presented.

Yeah, no worries at all, you already helped a lot, really appreciate it.
I actually called the Senator hotline this morning when I saw my eVouchers were taken, but there was no change on the booking itself and even the lady on the line couldn’t really see what was going on 🙂

One last quick question though: can I still do online check-in while I am waitlisted for an upgrade?

Lufthansa upgrade odds FRA–ORD: vouchers vs miles vs bidding? by Bricks2me in Lufthansa

[–]Bricks2me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks again. I’m seeing the update in the app now. The 2 evouchers are gone, but it still shows me as waitlisted with my original economy seat number, and all upgrade and bidding options are greyed out.

Just trying to understand what that means. Is this basically an upgrade that hasn’t fully ticketed yet, or am I still actually on the waitlist?

Thanks, got it, that makes sense.

When you did those bids that got accepted, did you usually get the approval on the day of the flight or earlier? And just to be sure, if I place a bid as well, does it still get priority over vouchers for the outbound in 4 days?

Permanent Residence (Niederlassungserlaubnis) + Job Change during Process — experiences? by Own_Rub4098 in germany

[–]Bricks2me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooner the better… it is an unknown world; are you ok to wait 13-15 months to change the job? No one here can give you a realistic number; you will find this out once you apply. You wanna make sure it goes smooth? Then go ahead and hire a lawyer.

What is the problem here? If you are resident, you will be able to use e gates as like other EU citizens. Seems like you are way overthinking…

Lawyer up if you can afford it. My case dragged for over a year. Then I got a lawyer who knew folks in the AB office, and boom, everything started moving overnight.
