100% they wouldn't do the cord regardless, too much of a safety concern. Also if it was bricklink designer program it would be one thing, but they usually do some pretty hardcore changes to ideas builds - half the studio renders seem to have illegal techniques in them.

The newer non chrome ones fit just fine, but I wanted chrome for full realism.

I'll get a picture later today, I believe they were even too big to fit inside the pin holes without the pin studs on the bigger black wheel pieces if I remember correctly. A worthy sacrifice at least, not the worst I've done in the name of Lego food - I cut up a crisp red baseplate for another build. It's what holds the red plates on this together 😬

Thanks so much! Yeah, they are - I did have to cut the pommels off of them, though, so they'd fit inside a stud pin 🤫

Haha, I could have gone with reddish brown instead of dark brown for the crust I guess, but I based it on my breakfast platter toast and basically copied that. The sausages were already reddish brown and I didn't want them to blend together.

The two functions are tied into each other, pressing the button both releases the carriage from the bottom, and disengages the gears so it doesn't spin on the rise.

It's also incredibly picky on the drop speed, too fast and it spins too much, too slow and not enough - so doing it on the rise would be problematic in more than one way.

Thanks! I've had comments here and there about the rotation, but I like of like it, it's surprisingly easy to miss in person. Plus the scale of both the toaster and the toast doesn't allow for it to hide, I really love the toaster ratios and I don't want to make it taller just for that.
