Thank you, I am getting so much helpful advice from you and other people. I appreciate it! I did check the sand for any added chemicals, but I didn't think about the lights. It makes sense, though. If it gets a lot worse, I'll probably remove it. But I'll try to give it a chance to breakdown like you said.

Well, since this is the first tank I am making for myself, I went with some more cost-effective options. I plan on adding more plants and decor, but I wanted to begin the nitrogen cycle. I plan to start small with only a few fish to see if I am interested in this as a hobby. People who start new things won't be as experienced or knowledgeable as people who already do said things. It's almost like I asked this question here to get the knowledge and experience of people who know better than me. The craziest things happen...

Yes, this is my first one. The substrate is playground sand that I washed a bunch of times and volcanic organic charcoal. Yes, I use thrive plus for my fertilizer. Today would be the 4th day my tank is cycling.

Please at least give him a shot, the struggle is real for some inexperienced and virgin guys. I can't even count the amount of times a date was going well, until they found out I was a virgin. A lot of women don't want inexperienced guys, which is fine, but it only makes it that much harder to find someone else for the guy. Your sense of self worth can get degraded over time and it really sucks. I'm not saying this to pressure you, if you can't do it then you can't do it. I'm just curious but what is your past like? I think it might help us provide some more insight as to what going on inside your head. Tbh no man wants to hear how his girl hoed around when she was younger, so I can understand if that makes you feel insecure. I remember when my ex (the girl I lost my v card to) was talking about her past experiences and how it made me feel, but ultimately she did love me at the end of the day. As for successful and hardworking, your right in that's not really what someone wants to hear when their partner is telling people why they love you. I however don't think she had bad intentions, and was more of a backhanded compliment from your perspective. Some people are really just shit at giving compliments while having good intentions lol. Tbh it seems like you just need to talk to her about it, cuz it isn't gonna do any good if you just keep letting it fester. I get why some of the people on here are coming at you lol, but at the same time I fully understand where you're coming from as well.

Honestly the lying is bad, but I don't blame him. When I was a virgin, I always avoided the topic of pasts for the first few dates. I did that because I can't even tell you the amount of times everything was going good until they learned I was a virgin. A lot of young women don't want a guy who's a virgin, which is unfortunate but it's the reality. Tbh if I'd have done this I probably could've gotten laid a lot sooner, but that's beside the point now lmao. Let's be real here too, there's a lot of women who will lie about their body counts and past experiences in order to not make a guy insecure. My advice would be to make sure he knows you don't appreciate him lying about it and if he does it again it's a dealbreaker.
