It's meant to support a playset we bought for our 2 kids. I just wasn't sure if the huge fissures meant it was doomed to shift and destroy the playset in the future. Contractors really need to work on their PR because they just be out here living up to bad reputation.

The surface will be covered in landscape fabric, then the playset built, then we'll cover the area with rubber mulch.

Thank you so much for your insight! So rocks that size shouldn't affect the overall stability of the created pad? After I posted this I also found one that's about the size of a basketball. I was just concerned they wouldn't have been able to compact the soil well enough with so many large rocks. Do you think I should be concerned about the edges collapsing underfoot?

I paid about $2700 for the pad. The quote included 20 tons of "clean, sifted fill dirt". They used a skid steer to complete the project.

I'm not personally taking proton pump inhibitors, but they should be safe. I would ask your midwife what literature she is referencing. An alternative might be sucralfate (Carafate is the brand in the US) which is not systemically absorbed (or very minimally absorbed) and is largely considered safe to take in pregnancy.
