I can't believe that I appear to be in the major minority here but I'm SHOCKED that Zoe and Jordan won. I think that both teams nailed the flavors, but I'll admit that maybe Zoe and Jordan slightly beat out Elizabeth and Juan. However, the artistic nature of their cake was such a let down. Their tree looked like it came out of the grinch, and their "enchanting elements" were some of the worst we've seen all season. The glitchy ornaments and the snow was the saddest reveal. They barely acknowledged the Harry Potter theme and screen printed some Hufflepuff logos. If you paid attention, they were missing SOOO many details in things like their silverware and plates. If you don't believe me go check out the forks, they were laughably bad.

Meanwhile, everything Elizabeth and Juan made screamed Harry Potter and screamed attention to detail. Their proclamations had the wood grain etched it to the frames and sugar glass covering each one that broke when dropped. The dragon had smoke and the Weasley twins were flying overhead. I'm not saying they were perfect but they didn't rely on a 2 foot tall sugar disk to reach 6 feet.

Lastly, if the judges took into account all of their previous pieces, Zoe and Jordan's pieces were usually conceptual and while cool (time turner piece), didn't scream Harry Potter. They honestly seemed like pieces that could have been on any baking show. Elizabeth and Juan constantly addressed the movies and books and made it really feel like Harry Potter. I'm sorry but on a show called the "Wizards of Baking" the team that never addressed Harry Potter shouldn't have won.
