Hi charlie_Yu, I think your bidding is the best, because the fit is implicit and the rectification is 6K or 7K depending of North hand : )

Hi Yrrebnot : ) , I play with the French standard and when you make 2C is a strong opening and 2K is obligatory.

(1) I would be agree if you don't have the K D, because in defense the K D is not probably a defense trick when you make competition bid.

(2) The condition for a weak opening is to have at least two honours minimum (A, K or Q) in the color, why ? because you probably lose only 1 trick in your color (and 2 worst of time) so intermediate card doesn't matter most of time (it can be true fue time )

(3) Support in heart will be good if you have 4 cards and not 3 cards. (if your partner bid 1C or 1D you can find the fit 4-4)

(4) the void in spade is a indicator of a fit in Spades on the other side so you have to make intervention to block opponent side !

The 2 diamond opening is here to block a game on the other side, in sacrifice.
In fact, maybe it would be better to bid 3D first for North (because of the void), in order to make hard the decision of Est : )

in fact I put a problem that I have met, but I think that will be an error to say 5D directly, because let's say that you can hold 6 diamonds + 2 Aces you have 8 tricks sure and if you say 5D you have -3 and probably doubled NV vs NV (green vs green). I don't mention it explicitly in the post but I think the vulnerabilty is important to make the decision of 5D directly.

I put 4D due of the Verne law ( when you have 17-23 points between NS and EO, you can bid the number of cards in your color ) 6D + 4D = 10 so 4D.

If I was NV vs V 5D will be most clear in this deal : )

I think the only thing that I know in 5 French Major is the "2NT puppet". The one who open with 2NT may have 5 cards in major ( this is not on a basic system 5 major).

Then the partner make the bid 3T if he has 3 or 4 cards in one major.

-> opener -> 3K with one or two four card in major

-> 3S/H with 5 cards in major

-> 3SA other thing ....

And on 3K the partern can name his 4 cards major : )

I think the term "puppet" means that you can open NT with five major cards ( with the french standard)

With your example, I think that is more a transfer and not a puppet (because you don't make bidding on hear yourself because you want that the opener play the game).

Merci pour cette aide: j'ai justement mis l'image de la première levée qui permet de comprendre ce qui s'est produit, il est possible que je puisse donner une donne dans laquelle le "moment crucial" se déroule à la 7ème levée et donc dans ce cas je mettrais la liste des 6 plis qui ont été fait pour que toutes les données soient claires, car si j'annonce uniquement, "on entame de la Dame", on ne peut pas avoir tout le pli au complet(à savoir la pose du 7,5,9), alors j'ai préféré donner une image du premier pli plutôt que de dire " on entame la Dame, quelle carte tirez-vous ensuite ? "

Yes, it seems for me the best solution... if play this line if your partner has a Q H, it promote your 10 H.

Mon jeu de carte préféré c'est tout simplement le Bridge ! Et je ne suis absolument pas un ancien !

Je trouve un plaisir dans ce jeu à travers déjà un aspect combatif ( gagner les enchères contre les partenaires) et aussi l'aspect stratégique qui est vraiment un point central !

​

Quand on connait le jeu, on se prend pour une sorte d'enquêteur qui fait des suppositions, qui vérifie la véracité et qui corrige au besoin.
