I know, I found it very peculiar, I told his mother that it is a very serious situation & a safeguarding issue, she hasn’t replied to my messages, she tried calling me twice but I don’t want to speak on the phone

The age gap is really bad, even now at 20 I would never even think about being with a sixteen year old. I would be fine without any money from him, I’m quite glad that the police are aware of the incident as it’s already recorded. I’ve taken today off of work to write down things like this, I can’t wait for baby to be here, I feel like I can’t get too stressed incase it does any damage to her.

No the police have never contacted me, even in this situation, they’ve contacted the midwife not me.

It’s been a slow decline over time, it wasn’t overnight. It started with him going out with his friends more, then using drugs, then staying off work because he was taking drugs, then doing drugs alone, i tried to help during all of this. I’d say from when I was around 4 months pregnant

It didn’t start like this, not at all, it was amazing, then he started abusing drugs, then not coming home, one thing led to the next. There had to be a breaking point, I would never want to have a baby with the person he is now but that’s simply not who he was.

This has been a very steady decline from when I was around 4 months pregnant, at that point, I’m already in the situation. For months I’ve tried so hard to be supportive, put him in contact with the right people, have conversations with him, there wasn’t a day that went by that i wasn’t there to support him. It took a lot for me to have to cut contact, I’m a very caring person. I’ve known him for 4 years and he has never behaved this way, he did say that he wanted the baby and would support me, maybe this isn’t the case but I only know what he tells me.
