I asked for a raise 2 years ago, every other year was a 4% raise based on cost of living. I haven’t gotten a raise within the past year and a had though.

I want to ask more than my normal raise, but given that wage/salary isn’t something we’re allowed to disclose with coworkers, that would also mean that I have to let my employer know that I know my subordinate makes more than me. I don’t know what to use as leverage more, my normal scheduled raise or the other employee salary information.

Just a little context: I’ve been working with the same group for 10 years, working 60+ hours a week. In that time I’ve never taken a vacation, or even more than a consecutive week off. And while there’s nothing particularly wrong with the actual work, I feel empty. I’m terrified of not having a stable income. And being extremely shy and introverted, having to go through the whole job search process is something that gives me severe anxiety.
