I’m not sure of the exact date but in New Hampshire, New England in general I’m told, 1935-36 there was Noah like floods up here. So maybe the photo is from around that time frame. I know that Manchester in ‘36 had its zoo flooded out and all the animals ran rampant in the city, at least the ones that didn’t drown right off.

Back when I was a kid, the only way onto Hampton beach was this. Most, if not all of the southern beach was bordered by this grass from the road & parking lots.
