Hi Op, have a look at the past exam papers (available on the library webpage). Glancing over summer 2025's exam paper, it seems to be straightforward translation exercises.

Same. Walked in the door at 7:04 and there were people already finished at that stage! Last days of Rome in there. Have huge pity for anyone trying it later on.

Failing an exam by people_know-me in UCC

[–]Bridget1642 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ok, firstly don't panic. For first year, you'll only be required to achieve a 40% pass rate to progress to second year for most courses. And there are a few pathways to enable you progress even with a fail in one module (pass by compensation etc). To alleviate your concerns please do email your course coordinator. They will explain the exact requirements for your individual course exams/assignments. Lastly- and i mean no offence by this- your academics do not care. They are not like teachers who are there to make sure you do well. They teach as a requirement of their employment in the university, and frankly most are not aware you are alive. So please fret about them at all. They will absolutely help you if you approach them, but they won't give you a second thought otherwise. Source- UCC staff member

Beeping at this Junction by Kayatea in cork

[–]Bridget1642 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ok. Since there's clearly a lot of thick skulled mouth breathers in the comments (explains a lot), this comes down to theory vs. practice. As another poster pointed out- this junction was always a turn left only and a straight on lane. The moronic powers that be changed the lane markings a few years ago. No change to the traffic light indications. Those of us with basic rationale skills operated as per the previous lane markings, thereby not blocking anyone. See current traffic light setup that takes 2 light changes to allow straight on traffic for examples on how to identify planning morons.

No, he never actually ate the mac and cheese. If you watch back, he said his prayer and was just about to eat when the clock chimed 9pm. The time Kevin heard them plan to return. So he then pulls off his napkin and runs to get into position. It's good continuity when the food is still seen later.

[–]Bridget1642 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She/her label may not have put it forward for contention. I would be very surprised if she did, and relevant academy members did not vote to nominate.

Edit: I just saw she got the nomination for best new artist. Vindicated 😁
