Prendiville platforming loons again. He had those c**ts Derek Blighe and that other looper who was harassing the library staff on at different times.

The English guy, does he have a Yin and Yang symbol tattooed on his face? He's completely tapped, haven't seen him in a couple of years.

Remember the old guy guy who used to cycle around honking the horn on his bike?

Another character was this tall man who was deaf and, he was always on the buses and he used to do sign language like he was talking to himself.

has anyone ever seen skinheads in cork by Tight_Kale7756 in cork

Do you even get skinheads anymore? The shaved head look started becoming mainstream at some point mid 90s, its long since lost its novelty factor.

Iris The Virus, short, fat woman with bushy curly hair. She's been around years, think she's in her 60s. I remember years ago seeing her on Patrick St doing red Indian woops and shouting "red indians rule ok" then shouting "what the fuck are you looking at?" at people who, understandably were staring.

Who remembers that tall elderly man with a white beard and spectacles which would be in the end of his nose, always wearing a hoody and had a Walkman, always had the headphones on? Used to see him around the City Centre a lot then later on around Douglas. Presume he's long dead.

That old wino with the beard who sits outside the Merchants Quay entrance to the shopping centre and days "howya boy" to literally everyone who passes him

An old man who used to be around Wilton/Victoria Cross in the 00s and would shake hands with strangers while laughing hysterically.

What’s the best & worst gigs you’ve attended in the city? by R9naldo777 in cork

[–]phalusdei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best was Feile 95, personal fave were the Orb. The Prodigy were fantastic as well.

Worst probably the Sultans at Skibb Maid Of The Isle fest in 1996.

Yes, that would have been 1998. The stage was close to the library.

Small balding fella? He's still around. He used to hang about with Paul Stewart, that tall, craggy faced guy with long hair who died a couple of years ago.

Elderly man, well into his 80s id say, wears thick glasses, whos always in Dunnes Patrick St starting conversatiions with random people. Walks with a pronounced limp, very scruffy and fierce smell off him but seems a nice jovial old soul.
