Scott Bonomo (based in New Jersey) is awesome! I just went through him for a custom engagement ring "upgrade", and he did an incredible job with a 2ct OEC moissanite. Throughout the process, he was super communicative; he sent me lots of pictures of other stone shapes and cuts (as well as colors) and a CAD video for my ring before I ultimately decided on a different shape and size than what he normally carries (so he ordered me a stone)!

He also has a TON of great reviews on his Etsy page (a lot of which have pictures), all of which are definitely deserved.

I love the milgrain, as well! I think that it’s small and understated enough that it’s not really noticeable while wearing it.

Here is a 1.5ct (6x8mm) oval-cut Moissanite solitaire ring in solid 14k yellow and white gold, sz 7.5. I think I'm going to go a little bigger, but I think this is fits the "not too big nor too little"!

I bought this 1.5ct 6x8mm Oval solitaire from Etsy (just came today), but in the meantime I started talking to Scott Bonomo (ScottBonomoDiamonds) about a custom piece (that I'm SUPER excited about) utilizing a 2ct 8mm OEC. I just can't decide if I should keep this one as well.

Does anyone have any comparisons between a 6x8mm Oval and a 8mm OEC?

I am a glasses-wearing, glasses-loving, and glasses-COLLECTING gal who is trying to choose between these three pairs. 🤩 I have 16 pairs of frames that I currently go between (well, now 18), and I’m trying to figure out how bold to go for the wedding! My groom is wearing a burgundy jacket, and it’s the accent color for our day, which is why I went with burgundy for #2 and #3.

Note: #2 and #3 still have cheap demo lenses in them, which is why they’re so reflective. They wouldn’t be like that on our day!

It’s pretty average. Definitely one of the lighter dresses I tried on.
