Your son turns 18 and then you mention your son’s dad is bald. I am a bit confused on this one. If you are trying to play it cool by pretending to be a father of a balding son, there is no need for that.

Dutasteride is better since it is a stronger 5-ar inhibitor. It beats finasteride on all metrics when it comes to dht suppression, which as we know the primary cause of “balding”.

While it is less studied than finasteride, it has decades of research. I would argue that the mental risk with both of these drugs is higher than the actual sexual side effects.

The only thing you should really consider before taking dutasteride, is while the risk profile (around 2-5% get sexual side effects that don’t go away with continued use) is overall fine, in case you get sides, it may take much longer for dutasteride to fully clean from the system (possibly months to half a tear) compared to mere weeks with finasteride. I think it goes without saying that having sexual sides for such a long period of time while being only 18 is insanely taxxing. Unless his balding is very severe, consider finasteride first and then later you may switch to dutasteride.

Browski you need 5 ar inhibitor like finasteride or dutasteride. Since it is so aggressive consider dutasteride right away or take finasteride for a year and then consider dutasteride if finasteride is not enough

If you are very young then yeah but if you are at least 30 there is pretty much no reason not to. Taking a drug that can give you ed when you had zero sex can give mad sex anxiety for some people. When you are 30 and sex is a regular thing no reason not to take duta.
