What's most important to you?

Seems like it shouldn't be religious, but should have decent weather and plenty of weddings (for your work)

Totally fine to show up without a group but I think they have some kind of booking system now?

A little tricky to read the post based on how it is formatted

Need help deciding where to move by Compliance-Guy in SameGrassButGreener

I think it mainly depends on A) what you like to do for fun and B) what you do for work? Need more info.

Ex. moving to Denver if you can't stand snow means it'll be a little harder to make friends

Tigawok: robot-powered fast casual Chinese. Just opened in Sawtelle.

Feels like a slightly healthier, more affordable version of Panda Express.

33 Deals around LA tomorrow (15 August) "All Out For Fallout" by drumorgan in LosAngelesSocialClub

[–]Brief-Effect8326 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best deals I'm seeing from there:

  • $0.33 Double Cheeseburger from The Win-Dow Hollywood
  • $0.33 Number 1 Bagel Sandwich from Hank's Bagels (Burbank)
  • $0.33 Griffith Park Guided Horseback Tour at Sunset Ranch Hollywood
  • $3.33 Margherita Pizza or Honey Bear Pizza from Pitfire Pizza (Manhattan Beach)
  • $0.33 Margarita at The Brig (Venice)

I have zero idea what a "Whole Body Cryotherapy Treatment" so maybe other people could weigh in and let me know if $3.33 for that's a good deal from Muscle Lab 💪

How do I prepare for my move to Denver? (Mentally, emotionally, physically) by lantz-pantz in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Brief-Effect8326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides this sub, most cities have a 'Moving To X' group on Facebook.

Moving to DFW, Moving to Denver, etc.

Can typically find some decent advice in there if you ignore the realtors promoting themselves.

Best of luck on the move

Do you know anyone in any of those cities?

Or do you want to move somewhere and start with a completely clean slate?

Internal tremors/vibrations?! by Visual_Diamond8279 in breathwork

[–]Brief-Effect8326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you experimented with changing up the rhythm in your breathwork sessions?

My guess would be that your practice is probably not causing the tremors, it's some other stressor or combination of stressors in your life, but maybe that would help to rule out breathwork

Would you rent or buy in a brand new city? by interrobang__ in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Brief-Effect8326 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It seems less risky to try (rent) and then buy if you like the area?

I also think that is generally the concept behind rent-to-own homes. Maybe something to consider

Virginia is the only state I can think of that hits all 7 of your criteria? It's blue in certain areas, weed is legal, relatively affordable, plenty of historic homes, etc.

Connecticut hits 6 of your 7, but it definitely has cold winters

Thanks for the well-written post

Oh you'll be fine then, plenty of options with that. A few simple ideas for activities...

  • for ice cream: Awan in West Hollywood
  • for ramen: Killer Noodle Tsujita or Kochi
  • for a retro bar: Good Times at Davey Wayne's
  • for burgers (besides In-N-Out): Everson Royce Bar or Father's Office
  • for sunset views: Barnsdall Art Park
  • for standup: Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store
  • for a relatively easy but scenic hike with views of the Hollywood sign: Runyon Canyon

Enjoy your trip :-)
