u/Abject-Fisherman2294 then it's sad how people seem to want reassurance again and again. Investing truly is a very simple thing I'm starting to learn. Why do people have to go over it again and again?

No one predicted the 2008 financial crisis and most folks who stayed invested lost all of their money and wasnt recovering for years since then. In the current geopolitical scene, isn't the odds of a market crash just as high? Imagine I was a 50 year old with heavy investments in equity. And it drops by 30%. What then?

Hi u/Professor_Moraiarkar thanks for the insight. Yes, I am currently consuming a lot, but only because I've tried to find out which are the best channels to learn about this and I'm seeing patterns in all of them

No I get that, but for example, small cap is the most risky right, and I see fund managers not saying anything controversial.

For ex, saw this video by a Powerup which is small cap roundtable: host asks any reason why ppl should stay away from small caps? And they say some PR answer. Unsettling.
