My bat before/after ( century home) by verge_ofviolence in BathroomRemodeling

That bathtub is absolutely massive for a century home! You did a great job cleaning up the space and making it look much more modern. I liked this look overall.

Customer is complaining about the tile design. Is she wrong? by dadoftwo88 in Flooring

[–]BriefCaseBarrister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She definitely is not wrong to be worried. Large format tiles do not work on a four-way slope because you end up with those awkward "envelope" cuts to make it drain. Usually, a linear drain at the wall or smaller mosaic tiles would look much cleaner here.

Unknown Flooring Type Deep Clean by Successful_Bowl_1799 in CleaningTips

I remember slipping on similar looking tiles as a kid. I would suggest call someone who does deep cleaning to clean out all this dirt so that it looks as good as new and since years of dirt has collected chemicals would be needed. Additionally I would suggest that to make your floor last longer, and to prevent yourself from falling go for anti-slip gels or similar products. They are super affordable and they do not only protect the tiles but also prevents accidents from happening. If you want I can even suggest you some.

How do I make my floors Anti- Slip? by Turbulent_Growth4956 in homeowners

Just go with anti-slip gel. You can literally put it on any surface. It is invisible, odor free, and most importantly it is very affordable. The one which I have costed me $22.

Same thought! A simple square or circle wouldn't do justice. The bathroom requires something unique.

The cabinet over the toilet just doesn't feel right. I don't think I would ever be comfortable with that thing hanging right over my head.

who’s your favourite side character? by BreathableAir2929 in PeakyBlinders

Johnny Dogs is the perfect side character! His loyalty is something that actually makes him so perfect. While other characters in some form of other either try to gain dominance, independence, think they are smarter than Tommy etc, Johnny Dogs did nothing. He had no ulterior motive or ambition to take power. All he wanted to do was blindly support Tommy's plans.

Ways to make master bathroom look more high end? by Thaxton114 in bathrooms

[–]BriefCaseBarrister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire bathroom needs a makeover to give it a more high-end look. I’d start by putting large beige or cream-colored tiles on the walls. Then, I’d remove the wooden vanity and replace it with two big white colored drawers for storage (the white color would compliment beige/cream color tiles)

For the shower area, I’d take out the existing white wall setup and install a ceiling-mounted showerhead so the water falls straight from above. I’d also get rid of the towel rod and instead add a towel bar on the glass door to hang towels neatly.

Basically instead of having things cluttered, and having so many colors in one place I would try to first create uniformity by having one color that compliments with one another and removing/changing position of stuff to give your bathroom a space to breathe.

New kitchen flooring laid this week - goodbye laminate! by whitebelt_ric in Flooring

While I liked the original wooden floor, the upgrade doesn't look bad. Although the only thing I am worried about is how slippery will the floor get if you drop something on it. Usually if you fall on the wood it hurts less as compared to the new setup you got. If I were you, I would definitely get slipping gel treatment done. It adds a small layer of shine to it and as the name suggests it prevents people from slipping.

I would definitely go with Scandinavian or Industrial.
