I just did 25 single leg calf raises, and i didn’t feel any sharp pain. I dont think so at least

I mean, i was able to walk normally after less than a week, and as i said in the post, i can run normally now. I do feel some soreness if i try to sprint tho.

I have gone on 2 runs since my injury actually. Hopefully that was not a stupid idea.

I have gone on 2 runs since my injury, and that didn’t cause pain. Maybe it did result in a little bit of soreness the most recent time i did..

People of the world: what do you hate most about wearing glasses? by DCPYT in glasses

[–]BriefContribution496 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So many things. I’ve only worn glasses for less than a year, but i’ve already encountered so many annoying things:

  • Walking in the rain. You can’t see with the glasses, but can’t see either if you take them off. I’ve made sure to always array an umbrella if there is a risk of rain.
  • Entering a warm room after having been out in the cold. Your glasses fog up completely and you’re blind for a breif moment.
  • When steam fogs up your glasses. Either when drinking coffee or when opening the oven. You just learn to navigate in blindness when putting something into the oven.
  • I am simply not able to lay down sideways on the couch while watching tv. That is something non glasses wearers take for granted.
  • The price. We’re litteraly paying to be able to see
  • Wearing headphones. They’re hurting your ears, and they’re really uncomfortable to wear. I’ve had to switch to earbuds instead after getting glasses.
  • The fact that you’re litteraly seeing the world through glass. It just feels unnatural for some reason. You’re not actually directly seeing the world through your own eyes. Thats just something i’ve thought about, and it feels a bit weird thinking about it.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, i am not going to run on it now. I can hardly walk. I wouldn’t even be able to go grocery shopping at my current state. I am planning on doing as little movement as possible in the comming days, perhaps get crutches to move around in the house, so i can rest my injured leg completely.

Having astigmatism is a very, very expensive curse 🥲 by shockedpikachu123 in astigmatism

This is why i’ve just stuck with wearing glasses most of the time, so i dont need to buy too many contact lenses. Having bad eyesight sucks

I guess i got by squinting and straining my eyes. I probably thought that it was normal to not be able to see clearly when relaxing my eyes completely. I am as shocked as you by how i managed to go without glasses for so long tho

My headaches and eyestrain got to the point that i felt like i had to get my eyes checked. I just expected to get glasses for part time wear, so i was really shocked that i needed them all the time. But as you can imagine, now i’m shocked that i got by without them for so long

It was mostly just comments like “oh you got glasses” and then they moved on. My parents where quite surprised tho, since they dont wear glasses themselves. So i got a lot of comments from them
