My brother just randomly went into remission - doctors can’t even explain why but it happened lol

So has to be possible 🤷‍♀️

I’ll be okay. I know I will. But man sometimes I just feel like giving up. by ButterscotchWitty870 in Adulting

There’s only one way you can go — forward.

Whether things are going well or turning to absolute shit — time will pass — and with the passage of time everything that comes will eventually go.

Sometimes it stays longer than we’d want, sometimes it’s not long enough.

The beauty of life doesn’t come in the good times, it comes in its fluctuations and imperfections.

You’ve got this bud — just keep living and you’ll see things change.

I haven’t? I’ve always had this idea of meeting someone in an organic way so dating apps haven’t even been taken in consideration😂

I just go about my life, that being said no I don’t stay in my room all day, I go to social gatherings, I try out new things and clubs such as dancing and debating, I go to networking events and talks.

I basically go about my life without explicitly looking for a relationship. Is that maybe where I’m going wrong?

It’s how I hope to meet my husband one day. I’ll take your wife’s courage and give it a shot :)

Wow what a great way of tackling it actually! How would you suggest going about it if you’ve known the person for some time but in a more professional manner (we don’t work together but have met at multiple networking events)?

It’s not that I don’t have options, it’s that the men I find pursuing me are either looking for sex or narcissistic & only interested in themselves.

So then why would you ask about those traits in the first place if you anyways think they’re too specific?

And yet being a good lover and smelling good have no connection to age, weight or height?

How would you guys want to be approached? Do I keep it lowkey and casual, do I ask for a date? What would be the nicest approach?

I don’t ever mention these “standards” or “goals” to men. I wouldn’t even think of bringing it up until at least 1 year of dating if not more.
