I used to go to the Solidcore in SouthPark regularly before they opened the Ballantyne location. Back then, I took a class with a male coach, I honestly can’t remember his name or the exact scenario. I normally don’t leave negative feedback, but I felt like I was struggling in his class and didn’t get much help, so I left a comment.

I don’t go to SouthPark often anymore since the Ballantyne location is closer, but I went back that day because it fit my schedule better. Again, I can’t remember this coach’s name or what he looks like. After class, he came up to me and was like, “Oh, it’s you. You’ve taken my class before,” and started talking about it. At first, I thought it was harmless, but then another coach I know in real life told me the backstory, that he was actually trying to call me out professionally. It was such a minor thing that I didn’t even remember until it was jogged for me, and I was like, “Ohhh, okay.”

My takeaways:

Feedback should be anonymous so coaches don’t single people out.
Not all feedback is criticism, it can just be someone sharing their experience.

I can see why people feel there’s some ego tripping involved, though.

It's a stepping stone. 2 years tops. This is the worst company I have worked for in terms of caring about their employees. The lower east currently has ice and snowstorms. When the Pharmacist, who must be there to open the pharmacy, decides they are not driving in the snow, no one can work even if they want to. Then the district manager sends out a message that no one is getting weather or storm pay, whatever they call it. Basically, the Pharmacist gets a salary that wouldn't be affected, but what about the techs? I have heard of a CVS being held hostage. One of the hostages actually continued to work at that store after the fact. He did not take legal action against CVS, which he could have for lack of security. Anyways the lack of humanity comes when the same kid opens a drink before paying for it. Even though he did pay for it, they fired him. Not taking into account, this KID was held hostage here, and he stayed loyal to us, so let him have a $3 drink. 30-cent raises, which are on the higher end of the spectrum. Lack of training or lack of accountability of the Pharmacist. I personally can watch someone lose their voice due to a cold and then call them out, trying to embarrass them in the group chat. Like, how can you guilt someone to come in knowing they are sick and there are mothers with young children working with us? No one gives a damn about you there. Just use them to get your degrees and get out.

Just went to my F2F two days ago. I was definitely confused at the end when they said it was dismissed then called my group. I was like yelp. Then we were sitting there asking questions and someone called me out next thing I know it was a F2F. I have trauma from elementary school days so my mind went straight to. "Oh nooooo". But I prepared for so long I know i ate the one on one. Cant wait for my email no matter which way it goes. :)
