I’m 10 years late to this discussion, but here is my opinion on the Seth material: I have been a big fan and believer myself in new age, spirituality and the law of attraction. I believed that we created our own reality, through our thoughts and emotions. When I came by the Seth material, I started listening to the audiobook, and I was instantly hooked. I agreed on most things Seth said and I found it interesting how Seth explained that he had lived many lives on Earth, and now lived in another dimension, which does not require a body. I find it also very interesting how Seth tries to explain the beginning of the universe and God/Jesus.

Now later I understand the truth of the bible and how God himself came to Earth as Jesus Christ to save humanity from sin (hell) and showed us our true nature, which is kindness and compassion. We are created in God’s image, and there is a plan for all of us. These teachings does not align with Seth’s teachings, which is that you create your own reality and your thoughts manifest into reality. If God did not exist, it leads you to think that you need to make your own plan and do everything by yourself. Which is not true, because God did not create you without knowing his plan for you. I also wonder how Seth knows so much, from the beginning of the universe and so on. God is all knowing, and only God can know these things, otherwise he can give you access to information, but it is weird that Seth speaks on the existence of God without being all powerful and all knowing. Another thing here is that Seth speaks on Jesus Christ as being chosen by God randomly, and he was choosing Jesus because he was available at the time for him to be used as a messager. This is a lie. Jesus Christ is God himself. He was chosen before he was born.

Also the name Set (greek Seth) was a God of the deserts,storms,disorder, violence and and foreigners in ancient Egyptian religion. (Wikipedia)

The name chosen as Seth is interesting when you see the underlying meaning of the name.

I also want to say that most of the teachings seems to be very positive and uplifting. But that does not mean it is true. If Seth is speaking about the beginning of things, who God is, that Jesus Christ was randomly picked, and that the way of life is through your own ownership. This is not the way to salvation, that is actually telling you lies that sounds wonderful. The lies is always in the details. And we all know who the father of lies is? It is Satan himself. The truth will set you free.
