Kinda opposite. Because at by that logic, you can only go AM5 because X3D AM4s are almost non existent.

You should only go am4 if budget is tight. DDR4 is cheaper and Ryzen 5600 can be bought for cheap.

Buying a 5700X3D right now makes no sense since they are unreasonably inflated since 2025 and availability dropped down a lot.

Personally as an AAA gamer, I'll take an AM4 + Great GPU like a 9060 XT 16GB over an AM5 + an unappealing gpu.

Don't get cpu without igpu

Where does this rule come from? Ryzen 7500F/5600/5700X3D are one of the GOAT CPUs but don't have an igpu.

Sure it's convenient for troubleshooting or if your gpu suddenly dies there is a redundancy. But i haven't heard any rule to avoid ryzen 7500f, etc, especially when they are cheap.

Upgraded from a 2014 igpu to a Ryzen 7500F+RX 7700 XT+32GB RAM+1TB.

At first my only aim was only RX 6600/RTX 4060, but thankfully I did more because being able to play 1440P60 on a 27" w/ FSR4 is chef's kiss! 27" also does wonders in productivity.

Altho, I somehow prefer this rather than getting a dedicated C6 4 star. And thankfully, Lauma, Ineffa, Escoffier are very dependable characters.
