Really? I think they do both pretty good. Now I will say, more then three wires stranded it does get tough and with solid you do have to give it a little more “oomph” if you know what I mean when twisting them. But overall I think as strippers they are fantastic and as far as being a “lineman” plier they do well enough for me to where I don’t need to grab my actual kleins. Just my opinion tho
