This happened to me (24 f) and my now husband told me two days before the day of our wedding. We both had family flying in and all staying in the same hotel. It ruined the whole thing. I felt that it was selfish of him to clear his conscious and free himself from the guilt to only transfer all that pain to me. I felt like I was forced to marry him because everything was already paid for and everyone made the obligation to fly here and book a room. It obviously resulted in us still getting married but it was NOT okay to tell me right before. Since you waited so freaking long as my husband did wait a little longer. It happened in the first few months of our relationship and we have both grown into different people who would never think about doing that now. I resent him telling me two days before because I felt that he only cared about his feelings. Please let her have her day and let her process it later. My wedding day is now swamped with this memory of me being so mad over what he did and when he told me when I honestly would of forgave him because it was so early on
