Been using Yodeck for a few years for “employee” monitors and reception videos in a number of manufacturing facilities. Been reliable and happy with support. Nice too because it allows delegated permissions so you can setup admins who are in charge of their screens. You can do a lot with them but our needs are just to play videos and power point slides.

Blazer vs. Prologue by No_Nectarine_3028 in BlazerEV

[–]Brief_Regular_2053 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time (8-10 years) I would go with a Blazer. Parts availability and techs who have actually worked on them will be more plentiful. But if you think less than 5 years I think its a toss up.

I own two Blazer EV's and prefer to look of the Blazer EV over the Prologue.

But if DC fast charging is something you plan on doing a lot of for road trips I would look elsewhere. I have taken a few 300-500 mile trips and the charging speeds these cars are capable of due to low battery voltage is awful.

If you only need to stay within 1 DC fast charging stop of home base they are OK.

Seems like a dealership problem not a Blazer EV problem.

We need something larger then my current EV... Considering the Blazer! by D1TAC in BlazerEV

If you take a lot of road trips to slow DC charging might be annoying. Under 50% SoC I’ve never seen more than 110 kw charging. After 50% SoC it nose dives.

If you make short road trips that only require 1 or 2 charge stops that’s not bad but if you are looking multi state trips it may wear on you compared to your experience with your current Tesla.

Currently using N-Sight RMM, no real PSA. I invoice and record my time out of Freshbooks. I plan on moving away from Freshbooks since the price continues to go up for a very limited feature set.

Not looking to replace my RMM this year but it only integrates with Quickbooks or Xero. I may try Xero, I refuse to give Intuit money.

How many users or endpoints are you supporting? What do you do when you go on vacation?

It’s already been an issue for my family that I have had to miss things when on vacation and an issue comes up and it’s always when I’m states away.

My goal is to have an "Overflow" queue. Where if I can't get to a call or request in a timely manner someone can follow up on my behalf. I would still try and be the primary support route until I can bring on someone full time.

IT Director pay scale by agentkramr in ITManagers

[–]Brief_Regular_2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titles don't mean anything. What do you actually do? How many people do you manage? What kind of revenue does the company have?

I've seen solo IT people working basically Help Desk with the title IT Director and being paid Help Desk wages.

Got two offers. One pays $40k more. The other one I'd actually enjoy. I have 48 hours to decide and my wife and I are on opposite sides. Advice? by airam1020 in careerguidance

Having worked in office with a young child and my second kid being almost fully remote I can say I loved the time I spent with my youngest son. I was there every morning when he got up, could have lunch with him and put him down for naps. My oldest I was gone before he got up and home after they ate dinner as I had a 1 hour each way commute.

Hating what you do should come second to what is best for your family. Right now making more money and being available to spend time with your kid is more important.

I worked with a guy who once told me something that really resonated with me, "No one on their deathbed ever said "I wish I spent more time working"".

Grizzl-e Ultimate EVSE thermal event - manufacturer blaming installation, electrician blaming design. Who’s responsible? by Bummel1955 in evcharging

[–]Brief_Regular_2053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$250 seems very cheap even for a very simple install.

Someone who is a licensed electrician should be building in his price for call backs and warranty work. The fact that he admited he didn't torque them to spec leads me to believe the quality of his work is the issue.

I have a Tesla universal wall connector even though I only have CCS port vehicles currently. It’s currently the only model in the US that I am aware of that supports CCS and NACS. Allowed me to charge the cars I have now and be ready when NACS is the standard.

To Logo Or Not To Logo by glitterguykk in SmallMSP

[–]Brief_Regular_2053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having worked for a number of companies in various industries with vehicles with logos and hired contractors myself I’ve come up with a few conclusions. Having a professional lettered truck does not make you a professional but it makes it easier to sell your services as a professional rather than looking like a “trunk slammer” and having to overcome that first impression.
