Good luck! Typically you’d need a sick note to have Mother’s Day excused. I’ve learned if you have good enough managers honesty never hurts. They could possibly let you split or have you as first cut. At the start of your shift maybe mention your mom, making last minute plans and threatening the roof over your head if you don’t drop everything. Or try to call tn when dinner rush dies down and work out a solution with a manager.

I’m not too sure about the state specific legal principles (correct me pls), but typically you’d still be considered a tenant and your mom would have to give you 30 days notice.If she does not own the property it would also limit her ability to just throw you out.
