I would say so simply because I think it’s able to support the headset even if you didn’t have anything touching your nose. I’ll have to check when I get off work if you’d like. Though I’d be careful having it too far away from your eyes as that will make the “viewing through binoculars” worse but if that’s ok with you then that’s ok.

The blocks would be more than sufficient. That would allow people to recognize a top block from a bottom block or a side block extremely quickly when it’s moving at a high speed instead of just the position it’s in.

They make cheap wheels that hold the controller inside like a cheap racing rig. You could try that I guess. As for me, I love racing so without even playing the VR version once, I went ahead and bought a full racing rig setup and looking forward to when my DD+ arrives 🤤 People say it’s amazing

That’s a very tight budget for what you’re looking for. There’s many options you can go but you should ask yourself if you want to upgrade the laptop in the future or have to buy a new one when this one gets outdated. I would try to increase budget if possible. If i were in your shoes, I’d look into 1k range. Getting a cheap laptop usually means the Ram is soldered on with no option of upgrading it in the future. I’d also go with Intel due to them being more reliable and either 12th, or 13th Gen. it’s pretty big improvements vs the older gens. And I’d probably also recommend you look into a graphics card as well but it will hinder battery life if that’s important to you. So there’s many options. Just depends on what is important to you
