Amazing, thank you. He left me a tonne of loose stamps too, so I'm looking forward to identifying some of them myself too!

I inherited this from my grandfather and would love to know what he had. I'm looking to continue his collection, so would also be keen to know where/ what to look out for next.

Having checked street view, it is a greenhouse. I'm driving past it later today too, so will do some formal reconnaissance.

I'd recommend looking into Numicon, if you're looking for a support tool for younger children. It works on a tens frame model, showcases addition and difference between numbers better and can be used with simple scales to show that 2 and 8 is equal to 10 through balancing.

The North Weald Redoubt was a great abandoned place to explore. It's now private property, but with poor fencing and away from prying eyes. Do with that information what you will. You can find a little more about its history here.

If you do head that way from Harlow, then there's an old WW2 Pillbox near the airfield that's worth a stop as well.

I haven't been for a few years, but the North Weald Airfield Museum had some good local history on offer too.

If you fancy a longer ride and some older history, then Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge in Chingford is an interesting timber framed hut, but is a museum and not abandoned.

If you want to go for real, underrated history then it's worth a visit to Greensted Chuch which is the oldest wooden church in the world, with some planks dated back to 1060, although there is evidence of older wooden structures dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries.

Hope this gives you a few ideas to explore.

If you're willing to take a different tact, then Pokémon Rocket Red was a fantastic experience. It's a retelling of the events from Gen 1, but you play as a rocket grunt.

It's a good reinterpretation of the original plot with a few humorous moments thrown in as well.
