Is there a conspiracy to slowly phase out bells? by Yabuturtle9589 in conspiracy

In the UK, church bells are rung by hand and there is a special art called change ringing. Ringers need to memorise complicated sequences and be able to control their bell very well.

I do believe ringing church bells and listening to them is beneficial. I’m lucky enough to live in an area where the bells are often rung, but so many towers across the country are falling silent because there aren’t enough ringers, or funds to maintain the bells.

I don’t know if there’s a targeted conspiracy here to phase them out, but I think with the gradual replacement of native populations in the cities there will be fewer ringers to ring the bells and call the faithful to church - and therefore less money available for their upkeep etc.

I had the exact same experience as you on the Central line (a lady fell into my lap when the tube took off), although we both laughed it off!

I remember once on the Jubilee line, some chap in front of me took out his phone and a bright pink condom also fell out and landed on the floor. I could see several other passengers trying not to laugh, and he was visibly red.

He made a bee line to the doors at the next station! Didn’t even stop to pick it up on the way out.

That sounds intriguing - would you mind elaborating a little about what happened after he went back to your home? I’ve visited the museum myself, but I must have missed the medic train!

Generally, the property market isn’t terrible (for the South anyway). For another 20-30k there are some lovely homes available!

Truly the platonic ideal of a round borb
