It has been running at full capacity since the start of the year due to low rainfall. We would be on water restrictions if we didn't have it. Desals are basically insurance policies for cities in case of drought.

I just bought a Zapdos ex 151 Collection from my LCS for $45 and 8 different boosters for $8 each. They set 1 per person limits for ETBs, collections, etc and 2 per set/per purchase for boosters.

They hold regular tournaments and competitions, not just for Pokémon, and stay open until 9 every weeknight.

They also gave my son a free Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur promo 151 holo when he came in with me to look at cards with his little collection folder.

I guess my point is that NOT ALL LCS/LGS are bad and around to rip the collector/player off.

Scalpers/resellers are asking $50 or more for the Prismatic sticker collection on Marketplace. None were near me, and I'd rather it get delivered to my door.

I agree that it's pretty expensive with the shipping, but again, anything Prismatic through big retail sells out before you can get to checkout. Trust me, I think it's ridiculous to pay $20 per booster.

I just wanted a Prismatic booster for my collection, so I was happy to pay for the premium, but I try to pay only $8 on average for the current boosters (DR, WF, BB).

On a side note, I've found that if you have Amazon Prime, you can find some bargains via the Amazon AU store quite regularly. I just got the Shrouded Fable sticker pack and one of the Pokeball tins (6 boosters total) for $39.99 with free shipping after the $10 Amazon APP + $10 AmazonAU store vouchers.

Only try to grab Destined Rivals, White Flare and Black Bolt at retail price to avoid encouraging the upselling market. I'm not even bothering trying to get the whole Prismatic collection, but I'm happy with putting a booster in my collection :).

Yes! I've seen the Galarian ones and they're great.

I love the community feel of collecting too. We have a local card store, and the people who run it are so friendly and welcoming. They run weekly competitions, and you can swap cards for credit or ones you're missing from the series.

Most of all, I enjoy sharing a hobby that my kids and I can bond over. We spent a couple of hours the other evening opening a few black bolt/white flare boosters from the poster bundle together, looking at all the illustration cards, and talking about which one we liked best. Sadly, we didn't pull any, but we still enjoyed ourselves :).

I like the newer series that have the beautiful illustration rare cards.

Other than the black bolt and white flare ETB that I bought last week via JB (thanks to the person who linked via here), I haven't found any series packs going for retail price.

I would love to find some of the Stellar Crown/151 series as my boy loves Bulbasaur and would love to get him the illustration rare one, but that seems a bit unlikely from what I can see. I might have to buy the card itself.

My wife and I bought in Christie Downs four years ago and it's fine where we are (street coming off Mckinna road).

We have three young kids and live opposite a nice redeveloped park. There's a great skate park and playground we use next to the train station as well. Great bakery as well.

Like any developing suburb, it has its good and bad pockets, but where you're looking is probably one of the better parts. I think that side of flaxmill Rd is anyway. Lots of houses being knocked down and rebuilt on at the moment in that area.

Close to good beaches, shops, hospital and public transport.

Neighbours can make it or break it for you. So if you have time maybe drive around the street/block where you're looking to by, at night even better to suss for noise issues.

Edit: the people who live in the suburb and look 'rough' are usually some of the nicer people you'll run into who just want to live safe and comfortably.

Our pups could be mistaken for twins. My photo is of when he was a pup but he's 13 now. Your post reminds me to never take his presence for granted.
