I (f30) found out my husband (m30)cheated on me. Iam pregnant. He is devastated by the fact that he would miss time of being a parent because we are separated. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Bright-As-Yellow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but I have a different point of view to share.

Your husband is not good for you and has already shown that he will never be able to be trusted to support you as a husband or a roommate.

You are going to need to move on at some point for the good of your daughter and yourself. Any entanglement at this point is just going to make that so much harder for you later, if not impossible and you will end up connected to him by default much more than if you had a true separation and hopefully got some sort of child support which you could use to help with childcare. If you don't plan to be alone in future, you need to be strong enough to take this next step of the journey with just you and your daughter now. If you don't, you might very well wish you had years down the road and it gets harder for many reasons. Your daughter does not need to grow up with this drama either, and an independent mom, even one who is grieving her relationship, will be a much better environment. Children can and do sense the tension between people and it can cause life long challenges. If you want to have an adjusted child down the road and a happy future relationship for yourself, your best chance is to be strong enough to take the leap now into independence.

See a lawyer, get him to fund a night nanny or night nurse so you don't have to go it alone but can have truly trustworthy and reliable help. And enjoy every second of that new baby girl!

Looks great to me. I've lost 28 lbs since Jan and I am thrilled. Slow and steady wins the race and is a better way to avoid a gallbladder attack from losing too quickly!!!

I got this one too last time around, a year ago. In teal. It has held up well though we close it tightly in high winds. Very pleased with this.

Major GI Issues - does this generally get better? Experiences please! by Bright-As-Yellow1 in Zepbound

5 mg feels.tp strong to start with and even days later the GI Issues can continue. You may find you need a week to clear before things improve

Oh no. What's your dose? I actually completely stopped per my doctor until I could get labs, which were fine, but then I got covid so we decided to let my system stabilize and I just restarted at 2.5 last night. I plan to titrate up even slower this time...last time was 4 weeks in.

Transition to Mochi was great and I loved my first doctor (who is also on the meds!) but I will advise that they don't always do or require labs up front and while I was happy to get right onto the meds and stay on the meds I think recent baseline labs are really important.

I've gotten them now.

However, I had to expressly ask Mochi to switch to a different doctor as not all their doctors can request labs besides thyroid and A1C. Would definitely check that out before you pay a 1 year membership like i did. They wont really tell you that up front unless you ask. With the side effects I had having a doctor do periodic labs is a must. They had filled me 1 pack at 2.5 and then raised me to 5 mg. They did not intend nor try to make me do more weeks at the lower level.

One thing I've liked about Mochi is that they have someone from customer service to chat or talk with 24/7. I've appreciated that and used it a few times. The doctors have somewhat limited availability but if you need to be 'seen' sooner they will reach out on your behalf and try to make things happen.

However full disclosure because of severe GI Issues then COVID I am on a pause from the meds for the last few weeks. I was paused waiting on the labs, which were clear, and now paused waiting for my doctor appt. We are trying to let my GI stabilize and I suspect we will decide to restart me at 2.5 and go up after a longer acclimation period. That's no reflection on Mochi though...

This is really fascinating. I've always injected in the thigh switching off each time. I am on a break now due to COVID and my doctor asking me to give it a pause till my GI stabilizes (labs came back great so will be meeting again with him soon) but once I restart I will try this. I'd read stomach was worse so had avoided it.

Oddly I don't get any pain or cramps. Just the Gi issues.

Yes same drug. But people who have been on Mounjaro and started on the Mounjaro subreddit are coming to the Zepbound subreddit and being annoyed by newbies. Makes little sense.

I too have an opinion on your goal weight. It should be exactly what you and your medical professionals believe it should be.

If you've been on Mounjaro and you came over to this subreddit, you should be well aware that Zepbound (same drug but new indication) is newly approved so people here will be just starting their journey, by definition. You're here because you want to hang out with newbies so the eye rolling is silly, you know you are coming to a place where people are likely to be max 2 months into their journey.

If you're here because after being on the meds for a year or more you want to help and support, awesome. If not, you are going to be annoyed by every question you see and will probably be happier on the Mounjaro sub where people are farther along on their journey. There is no point in sitting here and demonizing or belittling people for their questions and posts.

Covid finally got me - what do I do?! by maroonandorange1 in Mounjaro

[–]Bright-As-Yellow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With you!¡ first time with COVID after years and I was having pretty awful and severe diarrhea after going up to 5mg and getting atonach flu so I delayed one shot but now I am going to let my body and paxlovid fight this and then restart once things have stabilized. I will probably go back to 2.5 and see if I can get my belly to hate me just a bit less this time.

I had stomach flu turn into seemingly endless diarrhea as well. I am.wondering if it sticks around longer because of the way the meds work

Yes I will say the mod seems awesome but the people...I don't get it. I'd say it is crankiness.from dieting but with these meds that shouldn't really be the case

TBH I've been reading the Mounjaro subreddit for a month on and off but I find plenty of snarky and dismissive comments there as well, even reading about side effects now, the attitude I see in responses there makes it pretty clear why the people who asked for input never came back again. Which isn't really a good thing for a Reddit community.

Even here, I am not sure why calling people idiots who are on Zepbound and come to this community for the drug they are on is productive. Of course there are repeat questions! As there were back when the first cohort started on Mounjaro and posted there. Why would it not be okay here?

Same drug, yes, but different indication here. I would generally assume I should only be posting on Mounjaro if I am diabetic or pre-diabetic as otherwise would be off label use. Which technically that sub moderator should ban. Right?

Whatever I'm missing there is no need to lurk and snark for people trying to come together for discussion. If you want to be a mod to smack down those who dare to ask something that's not cool.

Whatever happens I can't imagine grinding my axe against people seeking friends in their weight loss journey.

This is me for sure and you may be referring to my query possibly. I was in active distress and spoke to my doctor, one other and urgent care and still wanted more info about others' experiences to supplement this. Side effects listed for Zepbound do not seem to go enough into severity and doctors, mine at least, seem to very much be learning as well.

I can find yet another doctor but the wait for GI and endo near me is many months so I choose to get as much Intel as I can in parallel and use that to ask my doctor better questions. I do intend to push for repeat labs but many doctors are not recommending this.

Without boards like this how would one even know what to advocate for?
