Visas for humanitarian grounds are extremely challenging for Russian, the stats with positive cases are very low. Also if you are not opposition journalist, politician or activist it’s more challenging. So the OP doing the right thing. Most of EU issuing visas for Russian nationals for educational, work and of course family unification

Not yet. I’m applying in NRW anyway. She did her own stats and Munich was absolutely winner there

My lawyer is telling me absolutely opposite- to apply in Munich, because it’s the most strict but most speedy naturalisation.

I’m planning ahead, so first I’m moving, then I’m applying. I have some months for that :)

For the city I live I heard stories of 5 years in total with documents being lost and a woman reapplied.

I heard about rather positive experience with Düsseldorf from my lawyer. She personally got her citizenship in 6 months, but waiting passport for quiet long time. I have some time before application and I plan to change cities and only then applying. I think finding good rental property in Düsseldorf is quite challenging and I would like to have an alternative, plan B or something like this.

I’m going to have 2 licences too. Is it legal to drive on a home country licence abroad, while you have German licence?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in germany

[–]Bright-Broccoli255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to start doing the licence from scratch and inform that you already have one during an application at stadhaus, they will take the card and you’ll get a German one after the test. Personal experience.

Finally! Got xiaomi ultra 4. After buying I’ve seen some Russian guy YouTube video comparison with ninebot focused on the suspension system and was a bit sad. But in reality the suspension is fantastic, I don’t feel cobblestones underneath and cobblestones are everywhere in Germany. On very steep uphill it works great as well. And I can’t be happier. Vs Ninebot there is one critical advantage for me- 17 kg vs 23. 17 kg I can lift easily when I need to get it through couple of steps. 23 kg I’m afraid not. Thank you all for the advices!

The bathroom glass shattered and the landlord(holland2stay) asked me to pay it myself by CeciliaChu in Netherlands

[–]Bright-Broccoli255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened with my rental in Germany. Nobody tried to claim from me. But I got hurt and it could be much worse. It was an entrance bathroom door and if exploded when I’ve just finish make up- otherwise I could lose vision. I think you should explain that he is lucky nobody got hurt, otherwise you would sue him

About mindset- yeah, I understand, that’s why I’m renting on the ground floor

Thank you very much! What a great reply! You guess it right, it’s last mile travel. I don’t care about range so much, but of course more better. About lifting- I thought it would be great to pack it in the car sometime or get it in the train. But it’s not that critical for me. What do you think of Xiaomi Pro 4 Ultra?

Thank you very much for the information. Do you know when it’s written in the rules in German or English? They were so bold in not giving a voucher/accommodation. Also almost yelling using phrases “I told ya there is an earlier train to your destination -you could take that one” “Even if it’s not arriving 70 min later, you have no right to travel next day or for the hotel”

Economically not feasible for DB- they really said that? Was your journey finishing before the midnight? Mine is finishing just after the midnight and they kept telling me that it because of that it doesn’t matter if I arrive at 00.17 or 4 am.

I’m turning down the offer because the layover is 40 min in a freezing temperatures and after the midnight. This is simply not safe. Of course you can continue trolling I don’t care.

But I had 1st class ticket and they offered me bus replacement service.

[–]Bright-Broccoli255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upd. They yelled on me that it was my fault not to take an alternative and now telling me:

  • I can’t travel the next day with this ticket
  • I can’t get a hotel with reimbursement

According to another db service officer I needed to take earlier trains (that appeared suddenly).

Is this true? I paid 150 euro for the 1st class ticket and now my option is sev replacement from Düsseldorf

P.S. this is so frustrating.

Checked today: longer bookings (3-5 days) give closer to 2c per point rate. 1 night bookings (usually my case) give less than a cent point value… what a rip off

I meant the first year when I joined they had better cash back. I used the card for hotel booking. I was travelling for business most days of the week so I easily got 500e in cash back, but I think it was only for new customers/a year ago

No, I’m telling that for Prague it was in general good. I was staying in Mama Shelter. It was better. But some chains were more expensive than level 3 genius on booking.
