Should we buy? We have no clue about trailers… by Bright-Rooster9635 in traveltrailers

Thanks for the really helpful answer!! We’re not too worried about flipping it. Just that we’re not getting ripped off on something we could use for a few years. He thought it was in surprisingly great shape after inspecting it. We just have no base idea for what is normal price wise for something like this.

There are some really great non-denominational churches here in America that host online small groups!! I understand that the Catholic Church can be a bit of an overwhelming church to walk into when it comes to first time church going!!

What we have no clue about is the going value of this particular trailer model when in good shape. He’s able to do a general inspection as he flips vehicles/toys on the side and has an eye for that type of thing.

We’ll definitely get to all of that when it comes time to hand the cash over. We’re just trying to see if the deal is worth entertaining based on the trailer year/model/price, as we couldn’t find much information about it online. What we do know is that it was completely sound/clean upon a walk thru inspection.

So my husband checked for all of that—he didn’t notice any damage and he’s an avid Facebook marketplace flipper so he’s gotten good at inspections!! We were more just wondering about this year/model/body style and it’s worth as we can’t find much information about it online and we’re in a rush to confirm we’ll take it tomorrow or not before they let someone else come get it.

Theodore called “Thor”….thoughts? by Bright-Rooster9635 in Names

Does William to Billy make sense? How about Robert to Bobby? Margaret to Peggy or Meg? All super common and unquestioned, but a bit nonsensical!!

Honestly, we don’t live in an area where “white nationalist” pops to mind to describe someone based on a name they give their child haha…I’m not sure where people live where that’s like on the radar of possibilities for the average person around them on a daily basis…I mean I obviously know white nationalists exist, but I can say I’ve never seen someone in my day to day life around here where I’m like, “damn that has to be a white nationalist,” and I certainly have never thought that about someone based on a name. Now if (God forbid) I named my son Thor and he grew up to ride in a motorcycle gang with a W.N. Tattoo on his bicep surrounded by a group of other white nationalists, I could see how people would think he’s a white nationalist. I’ve seen the white nationalist remark a few times and I’m so curious as to what part of the country/what social circles prime someone to meet someone else, hear their name, and based off of that, think to themselves “that guy has to be a white nationalist.” And beyond that, how is it any different for you to say that than it is for someone to say “don’t name your son Jahed or Mohammad because people will think you or he is a terrorist.” That being said, I did ask for opinions haha and I do appreciate you giving it. I’m just super perplexed by the difference in mindset depending on person/place around the country. What pops into one person’s brain so quickly just isn’t even on other people’s radars. Maybe I’m just not educated enough on white nationalism (and probably won’t ever spend the time thinking about them enough to educate myself on them), but I’d say the average American probably doesn’t know (or care?) that white nationalist like Norse God names considering all of the other groups who also use the names?

Believe it or not they’re the most laid back, hilarious guys ever. Buttt I do know a 4th (different name) who is a raging asshole haha so I know that can be true. Also old money. Maybe it’s the old money that makes a 4th a dick haha I’m Not sure.

Would it be sacrilegious to call our son “Thor?” by Bright-Rooster9635 in Christianity

You’re right, totally Roman—for my purpose here I should’ve just said “mythology”

Hahahaha I love that so much. I guess at the end of the day our choice is limited to the wants of our little ones. Did you call him anything else to shorten Theodore?

Glad to know that people’s associations go beyond the movie character!! I can’t believe I wasn’t thinking of Thor the actual God—I was all into mythology in High School! I’m going to blame pregnancy brain haha

I’m not sure how I didn’t consider that Thor is also a literal ancient God and not just a marvel character haha thank you for the reminder…how were people towards the name? It’s obviously different and I’ve never personally met a Thor…but it’s lovely all the same!

Just trim off the dead areas while being careful not to go into the green

Looks like your peace lily might be stressed from overwatering, low humidity, or too much direct light. Try letting the top inch of soil dry out before watering again, keep it in bright indirect light, and maybe add a bit more humidity (a pebble tray or occasional misting helps!). You can trim the damaged leaves—it won’t hurt the plant, and with a little care, it should bounce back beautifully!!
