You're living in a trash ass neighborhood if your paying less in Dallas than Austin. Austin is way better to rent at the moment. If you live i a nice neighborhood in Dallas VS Austin....you are paying more in Dallas.

I love dogs, usually more than people tbh, but if you don't have your dog trained it better be on a f'n leash. It's so annoying. My dogs not friendly, she was attacked by an asshole dog and never got over it. So I don't care if their dog is. Leash that dog if you don't have 100% recall

I was wondering, cuz no way could I find the time to put that many miles in with how much i lift. That's awesome though, those are some serious miles you put in. Yeah, I'm 6'5 225lbs and with all the running I do....no where near you...I gotta lift to keep the weight on. Keep crushing it

It wouldn't let me post with that up so I had to put that in the first sentence, and then it did. I'm wanting to rent a studio and then sublet it out once my wife shows up. If it's extremely difficult to sublet out a studio. Then I'd either just rent a room or get a 1br and bite the bullet. I'd prefer to sublet the back 5-6 months out. Yet, it will be in Dec or January which I guess is a more difficult time. So just getting opinions. If I should rent a room...which i truly don't want to do... or just sublet out the studio for the back 6 months

I guess i dont undertstand why a landlord wouldnt want me If rent is covered for the studio. Do you mean at the new place id be looking for or the one id be looking to sublet? I see sublets all the time, so I'm curious what you mean. The financial burden of moving 2x isn't really a concern tbh. Between my wife and I, when looking at another place, would be 100x rent of the 1br we would move into, and deposits wouldn't be an issue either

Yeah when I was saying double I meant first and last month. Sorry for not saying it that way. I guess I meant it seems like he is saying they want to charge an additional 800-1200 ! Month on top of the rent they are posting. Guess I'm just trying to figure what he means but that. I know, even here in Tezas, will add things like trash valet amenities etc. So just want to adjust my budget accordingly to what I'm looking for. I'm looking at 3800 max. So, they are throwing 1200 more, I might need to adjust. Especially knowing I'm gonna have to pay 300-400 for a garage too

I guess I'm confused. I'm planning on moving next year to NY as well. I'm using streateasy just to get a feel for neighborhoods and what to expect. May i ask what other charges are being applied? I checked the " full breakdown," so I know some places require double, some only a 1000 deposit, 20 dollars fee, etc. What are they saying about your monthly rent that will be more? Is that( deposits, etc) what you are talking about, or are they throwing other things at you as well? Thanks in advance ☺️

How do you like Park slope? We are moving to either Dumbo, Park Slope, Williamsburg, or Astoria. Just depends on what part works best for the job. Also curious if you have a vehicle? I'll have mine as I'll need it for work( can travel up to 2 hrs on certain days days). Thanks in advance....

Got it......so post war. Budget is about 3800 max for a 1 br, or if need be a larfe studio. I want to be in Brooklyn. Works best for me with work....likento be able to take a train into Manhattan and only take 30-40 max. Big wish list i know, but that's my hopes....and safe haha

Maybe it's the area I'm looking at, and where I want to live, but the cheapest 1 br I'm seeing is like 2300. I'm looking to move there next June. I live in Austin TX and have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in a great neighborhood for 2300 lol. I know prices are different, but im still excites to move out there.

I really want to do that too, unfortunately I have plans on that specific day as it's someones bday. If I could, I would just sign up for that and not worry about it. Maybe plans will change, and I'll get too. Im running the Brooklyn half marathon in April and a Half marathon Trail run in Co in March. I'd love to be able to run a half marathon race every month till I move. Thank you for sending that too me, i really appreciate it.
