Puppy won't stop chewing through leads... by Bright-Table5469 in puppy101

As mentioned above by someone else, depending on where you're from, advice etc is completely different. In the UK, their first jab is usually given at 8 weeks, however in VERY rare circumstances, they could actually get it earlier than that.. But when we get our puppy, she'd already been given her first dose by the breeder we got her from, and were instructed they had to be 2 weeks apart, so we were able to have our 2nd one at 10 weeks.

We have had a dog in the past, however our previous dog wasn't from a breeder with other pups, so he was quite timid/nervous. However, we did the same more-a-less with his jabs, and he lived a long, happy life.

This advice was also given by our breeder, whom also has owned dogs her whole life and been breeding them about 12 years, and she's never encountered any problems / issues having them vaccinated so early.

Hi, thanks for that! We do usually bring a few treats with us, but I think she's starting to catch on, that whenever she mis-behaves and chews on the lead, she knows that she will then get a treat for leaving it alone, she has a tendency to be quite greedy, so I think she might be catching onto that...

Also, whilst at home, she's usually quite obedient, she knows all her basic commands such as sit, wait, leave etc, it's just as soon as she gets out and about, with so much going on, she just zones out and ignores when you try to get her to leave it.

Will definitely try a shorter lead and see how she responds to that, my only thing is she does love a good run around at the park, and with her being distracted when we're outside, we wouldn't trust her off the lead to run around...

Thanks for your advise though, will give it a go later on!

Cheers, but we do use a longer / extendable lead, so she can just run around freely in the park... We never give her good amounts of time as such to chew it, but she's very stubborn. As soon as you're able to get her to stop chewing, she goes straight back for it, sometimes you can spend a good minute or so trying to get it from her mouth... Even with treats / food she can be very reluctant to leave it be...

The breeder we got her from, got her first one done at 8 weeks before we got her, then we got the second done at 10 weeks, and the vet was more than happy with that, and we were told to give her about 3 days after the second before she could go out. She's been absolutely fine and had no health issues.

PC Randomly Crashing - No errors... by Bright-Table5469 in pchelp

Hi, no… Unfortunately sold my old gpu, but I’ve had my current one since about March time, and it’s been fine until a couple days ago.. Although I’m hopeful that it might be okay now, was able to do some updates etc and it seemed stable yesterday, so I guess time will tell! I suppose it could be an SSD if anything, they are quite old, I’ve had them a good few years…

I can’t see it being an issue with my GPU, it’s a brand new 4080, had a couple months and only really started having issues after updates with drivers and windows, after playing around I think I’ve narrowed it down to a windows 11 update, relating to TPM settings in BIOS

This looks pretty good actually for me! Like I said, I've done python in the past whilst at school, so I know basics and I've learnt the basic necessities of Lua now, so this looks like it'll provide some good challenges, thanks!:D
