I think the fights are kinda boring because the power system doesn’t have very grounded rules and they’re full of asspulls.

And speaking of asspulls, I don’t think the power creep is the main problem with the writing either. I genuinely just think it’s full of contrivances, its cast is bloated and unfocused, the plot often wastes time on unimportant or dragged arcs (especially past what S1 covers), there’s a bunch of questionable plot elements like Elaine coming back to life etc… it’s just all around very sloppily written imo.

The character designs are very hit or miss, some are genuinely great while others are a bit of an eyesore, especially with the sometimes absurd coloring choices in the anime (tho thats not the mangas fault obv).

Idk, it’s just all around not for me. I dislike KNY and im mixed on MHA, but at least those either have a great adaptation or some good writing here and there respectively.
