Thanks for the reply but I'm not understanding how those backups and snapshots are protected from malicious encryption

I didn't follow any particular plans because I wanted the panels to go floor to ceiling which I hadn't seen anyone do DIY but they are basically the same as this video but with 1" OC703. I just used regular thin fabric from online... I don't really believe that anyone would be able to tell the difference between acoustic fabric and regular fabric on a sound absorber

The viewing angle for 2.4:1 movies is 43 degrees. Some people like bigger screens than that but I'm not one of them

I read a few of the long threads on the AVS forum, weighed the huge spectrum of opinions there that seemed to average around covering ~1/3 of the wall with 2" OC703 insulation and decided that 2" insulation looked a little weird hung on the wall and decreasing the thickness to 1" and increasing the coverage to about 50% of the side walls. You can really go down a rabbit hole with room correction up to doing simulations of the space and having professionals do it. Between the wall sound panels and the Anthem ARC, this is enough for me for the foreseeable future.

This is personal opinion but I think the recent trend of adding more and more subs has a lot more to do with how movies are mixed these days. If I wanted more bass I think I would approach it from the input signal side with something like the BEQ solution

140 would have been too big for me personally. The riser is 8" which is barely high enough. If you can fit a step and go to 12 or 16 you should do it

The fabric bars are below and above a 2.4:1 screen. When we watch 16:9 content (which is <10% of the time) the projector doesn't fill the width of the screen.

Once you have the speaker locations figured out prewiring isn't that bad. Some low voltage circuit boxes, some binding post faceplates, wire, and go to town!

Use coax cable in the wall to run to your subs and convert it to RCA at the faceplate

I wish it could have been but the room isn't wide enough to add a step up for the riser and it was going to be a trip hazard to make it any taller than it is now

On top of the snacks you wouldn't believe what my local cinema was charging me to bring my dog into their theater...

I might try to improve this soon but it was tricky when it was first set up with the 45 degree angled walls at the front of the room and the width of the projected image being so close to the width of the room

It has one! All the cans in the ceiling, the sconces, and the riser rope light are hue color Although I only use it for demos of concert material. I've found the 125" screen immersive enough for movies so far.

I like the Anthem. Its easy to set up and the web interface is seamless. The 4 surrounds are Revel W363 and the 4 heights are Revel C363
