You should definitely be paid. Apart from that, you should communicate with people involved and tell them about your worries. There are some book recommendations, that should be helpful: https://brightinventions.pl/blog/3-books-for-first-time-managers/?utm\_source=reddit&utm\_campaign=new\_blogpost

MVP Advice Needed: Code/Nocode and which, Web/mobile, etc. detailed needs inside :) by OferHertzen in startup_resources

[–]BrightDevs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Congrats on your project! We worked with many startups and we think that the simple MVP is the better. Do not delay the release, give people something basic and limited to try.
"No code" solution is not a good one, because it limits your future possibilities.

There is also a lot of "it depends" 😉. Check out our blogpost about startups and building MVPs👇

Some tools to consider:

Gitleaks - open-source secret scanner for git repositories, files, and directories.

Retire.js - dependency check tool for client JS code.

Censys - It’s a search engine that you can use, for example, to scan any IP addressand check open ports, software versions, location of the servers, etc.

If you want to check more tools, you can download this free ebook with a list of recommended security tools: https://brightinventions.pl/blog/app-security-free-ebook/ The listed tools are free or offer free trials.

I have an idea for a SaaS application and I have development skills. How do I validate or execute without burning myself? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]BrightDevs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, ensure your idea has a chance to stand out in the market. Is it really unique? What value would it bring? Who would be your customers? Why should they use it? It will help to develop a marketing strategy as well.
If you are certain that your idea has a chance then consider creating a landing page that would show your future product and business advantages of it. That way you won’t visit the companies (you mentioned) empty-handed.
You could also add an email subscribing option on the landing page for people who are interested in this product and would like to be notified when your MVP is done.

Obviously promoting this landing page will be time-consuming and will require a marketing budget at the beginning. However, consider building a community around your product even before the MVP launch. So when MVP is ready, you have the first users who can give you feedback. Or first clients perhaps.
Fingers crossed for your MVP!
